Today Show costume speculation...

I'm always late for work on Halloween because I just HAVE to see the Today Show costumes.

I think Meredith should dress up like Rosie O'Donnel but I don't think that's going to happen.

Anyone have a guess?

Ann Currry was dressed in an original Bob Macke Cher outfit ( & she looked MIGHTY nice......... )

Meridith was costumed as Ariel, Al was Davy Jones (ala PoC 2), the "other woman" (who's name escapes me) was dressed as Madonna.

Don't remember Matt's outfit.

But Ann Curry looked REALLY good........................

You've spent too much time thinking about Disney stuff! Meredith was Bette Midler from her "Mermaids" skit from her old concerts! They wheeled her in "on the half shell", Bette used to use wheelchairs on stage. The women were Divas. It kind of surprised me because I was wondering how many people would even remember Bette, or Cher for that matter!

See this is the first year that I thought was ehhh... Nothing seemed to flow right. When they were getting Meredith out, all you saw was some guys butt sticking out LOL. I miss Katie .

I had it on, then showered & put it on again. I saw everyone in costume but Ann Curry. When I saw her she was out of costume & doing a segment...........I think it was tough life situations or something like that.

She made the comment, "Heck, I just flashed 6 million viewers live on TV. That's a touch situation to be in," or something like that.

She was wearing one of Cher's outfits with a lot of holes in it. She kept saying she was flashing people but you really couldn't see anything.

Ann and Natalie looked really good, Meredith looked fat, for some reason they used a white fabric instead of a nude fabric for her arms and midriff. And they had a problem pushing her out in the big shell, the song was finished by the time she got out there. You think maybe they could have rehearsed it?

dvcfamily41801, I agree, it just seemed so flat compared to other years. Matt and Al looked good but just didn't seem to be in the halloween spirit. Plus they had ties in the best costume contest and really didn't seem to be interacting with the crowd.

The best one today was Rosie on The View, she was Queen Victoria. Her costume was amazing. The rest of them played other Queens and they all looked good, Kathie Lee was the guest co-host and was Catherine the Great. Her costume was good but she seemed uncomfortable. Joy was the current Queen Elizabeth II, and Elizabeth was Marie Antoinette.

I agree...blah. Ann looked incredible but Meredith seems very uncomfortable. And I love POTC just like any other good DISer....but it's been overkilled and Al's costume could have been bought at any KMart.

Thanks for the explanation about Merideth. DH said he guessed she was Arial, but couldn't see how it connected to Divas. I guess we've never seen the Bette Midler mermaid.
