Wow. . .and I thought it was cold here at 28 degrees! Hope you have a magical trip! pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust:

We're at 29 right now but dropping each hour! It's supposed to be 10 tonight with a wind chill -6 !I love whoever invented flannel sheets!!

Sorry to tell you guys, we had weather in the 70's this past weekend :cool1: It was great -- especially to get the kids out of the house! But I feel your pain -- I grew up in NY, so I know what it's like. But you can't beat Raleigh, NC weather!

Enjoy your trip!

And send some Orlando weather to the Midwest, please. :)

I guess it is coming my way, pretty chilly..but I am out of here too in 10 days!

I live in Central Wisconsin...it's 7 degrees right now, coming up from below zero this morning!! I really should not complain since we have had a relatively mild winter(record setting upper 40's in January) but I still don't know why I stay here:confused3 . Oh yes, I guess I do:
:grouphug:
My husband is getting excited about this weekend's snowmobile races in Eagle River, my son can't wait for his hockey tournament, and my daughter has worn through 2 pair of snowpants from playing outside this winter. Personally, all I keep thinking about is 63 more days until:cool2: sunny Florida!!

PKWallaby, I know what you mean!

I was born and raised in sunny California, but moved to northern IL because my then-fiance and her family lived here. Now that we've been married for 10 years, I still wonder every winter whether we'll ever be able to move to a warmer climate some day!

Ransom: I hear you...I am the youngest of 4, all 3 were born in California before my Dad just had to take a job starting the Music Dept at our local 2 year Univ Wis campus. He was originally from Green Bay and my Mom was from Chicago...they missed their family, the seasons and the Packers(crazy, I know!) so they left San Diego for good old Central Wis(bunch of wackos!!)

That was over 40 years ago, and I am the only one still here(what is wrong with me:confused3 !!!)

Oh yeah, I also married a local boy whose roots are just too deep to leave. At least for now...my plan is to head south(WDW way) after he retires...I want to be one of those retirees working for free passes in WDW(and perhaps be the most favorite Grandma, too:cool1: ) Since my kids are only 6 and 9, I guess I have quite a while for that to happen!!

Sorry for the ramble...I am starting to feel the effects of not enough sunlight from being inside too much(which means too much:badpc: and not enough:laundy: so I get:sick: )

We actually got snow here in Fort Worth and we hardly ever get snow! So of course everything is closed today because no one in the DFW area knows how to drive when it snows outside. :rotfl2:

Well it was -18 this morning when I got up at 6am to go swimming and it's -12 at the moment. We leave saturday and will be in Orlando by 915am so how can it be bad compared to here. I am thinking even 65 or 70 is gonna feel like paradise.....3 more sleeps!!!

sounds alot like me. I am from the southwest (Phoenix to be exact) and I am stuck here just south of Green Bay. Must say it is a good place to raise your kis though, And the lack of sunshine is just killing me. I have learned to get out of here in the winter for a vacation. It definitly helps!

HA! That Packer blood runs deep:lmao:
My husband is a HUGE Packer fan...
Can't go on vacation if there is a Packer Event happening and can't leave the house when they are playing. :rolleyes1
