We don't participate in it here.
I won't be having pancakes, but I just like plain old maple syrup (Aunt Jemima, unless of course we get a good deal on the real stuff).
I also really like the strawberry pancakes at the Cracker Barrel.
I might give something up for lent, but I'm not sure.

Happy Mardi Gras to you. Our Easter is a lot later than the Catholic Easter this year so Holy Lent isn't for a few weeks..

We celebrated Mardi Gras in French today! We made Crepes which are kinda like pancakes. they were ok but I put Ice Cream in mine which made it Fabulous!

I've been in french for 8 years now and she's giving us SPELLING TESTS. I haven't done one of those in 3 years. And the words?
'temps'
'oeil'.

Oh we usally always make pancakes today! We're not religious people at all but any excuse to make pancakes will do. Oh i love mine with currants, sugar and lemon juice.
We didn't get to make them today as I went riding from 4-10pm. Pooey. Maybe i can persuade my nan to make them with me tomorrow. We don't celebrate the rest of it. =]

awww. I've been taking it for 2 years now. oh spelling test? ouch. My French class last year was the only one that DIDN'T make them because we were so bad. it was this one kid that ruined it.
