HI! My name is Lori and the name of your thread caught my eye because when I hauled myself out of bed at 6:37 this morning to go and walk for 45 minutes, I told myself the same thing! I am a 37 year old mom of two kids who also works full time during the school year as a kindergarten assistant. I have to get up for work at 5:30, and after school between homework, kids activities, etc. I don't have (or make) much time for exercise. Also, I am a stress eater and my 29 sweet kindergarteners can often be stressful (although I do love them!). My fitness goals for the summer are to lose 15 pounds(20 would be better but I will be thrilled with 15) by eating healthier, and exercising at least once each day. I do have a membership at a gym, so ideally I would like to walk the dog for about 40 minutes each morning before my husband goes to work and then in the afternoon when it is too hot for the kids to be outside, head to the gym (3-4 times each week). And then, the nights we are home, take the dog out again in the late evenings, and this time have the kids tag along and ride their bikes or roller blade. (In the fall I will start having them walk with me to get their little legs ready for our Disney trip in December). I really need to concentrate on providing my family with better food choices and not as much junk and I think I am going to start a W.I.S.H. food journal as well! Anyway, that's me in a nut shell. I hope that if I establish these healthy habits this summer that they will carry over into the school year and become a permanent part of my life so I can quit gaining and losing the same 15 pounds!
