"Today is ROLAIDS day . . ."

OK, now I know AIDS is a devastating illness of worldwide proportions, so I am NOT making fun of this at all . . .


But, I was half-listening to the radio on the way in to work today, and I thought I heard the announcer say that today was "Rolaids" day . . .

Until I heard it again, and realized that it was "World AIDS Day" . . .

When I saw the title of this thread, I thought - Gee, they have a day for anything, don't they? You probably thought the same thing when you thought it was Rolaids Day!

I really need to get my hearing checked.


The other day, our teenage daughter was in a particularly happy mood, and says, "I love Fred and Amy . . ."

HUH?

So, I asked, "You love FRED and AMY???"

She cracks up , and says, "No, Mom. I love MY FAMILY!!"
