Today is our Gotcha Day!

Two years ago today, we officially became a family at our court hearing in Bryansk, Russia.

Last year, we celebrated our first Gotcha Day in WDW. I wish we were there again this year, but unfortunately, school is getting in the way of those plans, and for our DD, it is VERY important that she is in school every day so she doesn't fall behind.

Today, the kids took cupcakes into school to celebrate our family. They only have 1/2 day, then they are at my Mom's house for the afternoon. Tonight, we'll be going to dinner for our celebration. I was thinking somewhere swanky... DS wants to go somewhere that he can eat ribs. Guess where we'll be going? Probably Damon's.

I can't believe that the two years have flown by so fast.

Congratulations! I knew exactly what you meant as I read your title because we also celebrate "gotcha" day for my Godchild who came from China 6 years ago!

I know this day is a super special one! We celebrate our DD17's Gotcha Day every June 18th. She came to us 17 years ago (talk about time flying!) from South Korea (she was 4 mos old).

Carly is a joy and has turned into a thoughtful, caring and beautiful young woman! She is now accepted at 3 colleges and wants to be a nurse practitioner.

Congrats to you, your family and especially to your DD. Many happy Gotcha Days lie ahead! VAL
