Did she do it in a baloon, Deb?

Good stuff today. Thanks

One of the most adventurous journalists in nineteenth-century America was Elizabeth Cochrane Seaman, who adopted the name Nellie Bly from the Stephen Foster song. She became world- famous when in 1890 she went round the world by boat, train and horse in just over 72 days, thus beating the fictional record set by Phileas Fogg in Jules Verne's Around the World in Eighty Days.

No balloon on this trip :)

Thanks, Deb.
