Today Already Started Sad . . .

I'm very upset and don't know what to tell DD. I work with a woman who breeds Yorkies and her dog had only 1 puppy almost 2 weeks ago. It was a male puppy and he was going to be ours. Sadly, he passed away on Thursday and DD already has "stuff" for him. Although we have never met him, it does feel like a loss and I don't know where else to start looking for a new puppy. I'm not exactly sure how to break the news to her and somehow I wish this woman I work with never mentioned it until she felt the puppy would be out of danger . . . I know its not her fault for telling me, because she was very excited (she knew I was looking for a Yorkie) but I thought after the 24 - 48 hour zone he would be ok . . .and then I opened my mouth to DD.

Just needed to get that off my chest . . .I'm dreading the realization of telling DD . . .

When you're ready, do check with your local shelter. They often have purebreds that need homes. And who knows, maybe there will be a mutt waiting for you who just may steal your heart.
