Today 2 years ago was the 4th of July weekened flood and I still have nightmares over floodwater.Am I crazy or what?

Crazy? Not at all, CS. Things like that affect us for a long time, sometimes a lifetime. 
I went to the target area of a major tornado here in the Chicago area, back in the 60's, the day after, to help, and after witnessing the utter destruction and after-affect, it has affected me ever since. So I would say you are quite normal.
