I have to be brief and apologize I will not likely have time for replies. Take this info for what it is worth.
Good news--CM's at attractions have been very kind and helpful. Many rides have short lines so less need for DAs.
Disappointing news-- I felt as if I was under absolute inquisition in guest relations. My son has severe autism and ID. It is very apparent. I won't divulge here what I had to say to get my son a DAS but for a while I thought it would be denied. The DAS also must be renewed every day. Never before where did I have any issue obtaining a GAC. Indy and my son was given a single day DAS. Who will go to guest relations again tomorrow.
My SIL was in guest relations at a time different than me and observed an incident. A man with a son with autism on a 10 day trip had been given a DAS The previous four days. Hey just told guest relations his trip is for 10 days. The CM informed him that he could only have a DAS for 4 days. The father was very upset and said that his son would have difficulties longer than four days. The CM argued and explained The policy is four days only. After quite a commotion the guest relations CM conceited and gave him one more day of a DAS. So followed then by telling him that this was an exception and he should not expect the same in other parks.
I have not been on the boards much to know if this is typical, but wanted to share my experience from today.
