I need recs for a new toaster oven please. Mine was old and finally gave out. I didn't realize how much I would use it when I bought it, but l love it and used it ALL the time, although it was very limited due to size and features. I need a heavy duty one that can make toast, pizza, casseroles and great at baking cookies, muffins, etc. Thanks

I'm going to tag a long on this one. I also want one but have no idea what to buy. Sam's and Costco have a nice one but its a convection toaster oven. I have no idea how different that is from a regular toaster oven.

I have the KitchenAid Architect one, non convection this time. My last one was a B&D convection and it lasted several years. Convection is great, it allows more even cooking. The only reason I didn't go with another convection one was no one in town had any in stock. I use mine as an additional oven for cooking brownies, casseroles, etc. also handy to keep from heating up the kitchen for small items.

Here is the one I have:

I also recommend the Breville 650. I picked up a refurb one on Amazonthis past Christmas. It makes super toast and has an easy to clean crumb catcher. Makes a great 12" pizza although the pan doesnt come with it. Easy to use controls. Highly recommend!

This is the one I got last year:

I wouldn't normally recommend something so pricey on the budget board, but
it the best toaster oven I have ever owned, hands down. It is worth
every penny.

I too, have the Breville convection/toaster and absolutely LOVE it (it is the larger one though as I intended to use it for a lot of my baking and a second oven as needed) I messed around for years with the cheapies and wasted a lot of money in the long run. It's true this is a pricey oven, but well worth it in quality and performance. I use it a lot instead of the regular oven and save on electricity. It bakes very evenly and amazingly must be pretty well insulated as it puts off little heat even though it does get hot to touch. So easily cleaned too. Did I say I really  it :lmao: Mine is the BOV800XL and comes with cooking pans, plus most other pans I already have will fit. You can use convection or not, but I don't see myself using the oven feature without the convection.
