My 19 year old B&D toaster oven still works really well it's just really SMALL. I'd love to be able to throw a pizza in there or, heck, even a small pan of lasagna! I'd love one that is countertop sized with a double rack.

Please share any recommendations for and/or warnings against a particular toaster/convection oven. :flower3:

We have this one ~ http://www.walmart.com/ip/Oster-Designed-For-Life-Extra-Large-Convection-Countertop-Oven/13729291

I love it and have been using it since August 2012. We never use our oven anymore since we bought it. Before we bought this one we got a cheaper GE one from Walmart and it was heating properly so we returned it then bought this one.

That's the one I really wanted! But they had this one on sale for way less than the listed price, and so far so good. I've had it for about 3 months now, and love it much more than my old one! It's really big inside, holds a lot.

My one complaint -- and I'm not sure if this is true of the more expensive Oster -- is that there is no "preheat" function. You have to just set the time for however many minutes past the cook time that you want it to preheat, and then set a different timer to remind yourself to go put the food in the oven! At least I do, lol.

But otherwise, been very happy with it. I love all the preset functions, like for pizza or keeping something warm and whatnot. The oven cooks evenly, and is easy to clean. Just wish it would preheat automatically!

Thanks for the replies! That Oster at Walmart is indeed one of the two that I'm currently eyeing. The larger one is $99 - only $20 more than the smaller one right now.

The other one I'm looking at is the Cuisinart at Kohl's. It's on sale for $153 right now plus I have a 30% off code which would bring the price down to $107 plus I would get $20 back in Kohl's cash.

So the prices between these two are pretty comparable. Both have overall excellent ratings and reviews.

The Cuisinart is a little smaller but it doesn't have the double rack feature. Not sure how often I'd really use that anyway but it is a nice option to have available. Ah, decisions, decisions!

We have a Cuisinart one (Model CTO-390). I got it at Costco for $89. BEST toaster/convection oven I've ever owned. We use ours several times daily, and this one is now 4 years old and still working like day one. It can handle a 12" frozen pizza or a standard sized pie dish for baking. It doesn't come with two racks, but there are two rack positions, which makes it easy to cook just about anything you need.

I love mine! I want to buy a second one to have "just in case" this one ever breaks. I don't know what I'd do without it.

Oster is a crappy brand these days. I wouldn't pay $100 for an Oster anything...
