To those in the UK can I just ask how much you are paying for flights please?

We looked at Eurostar this year and was quoted £298 for the two of us! :-S ended up booking Easyjet (from Luton to CDG) for £140 inc taxes!

This is with the outbound flight leaving here at 8.10 and the inbound flight at 23.00 giving us a further day at the park! :-D

Nice and handy as the airport is on our doorstep, so no fuss about getting to St Pancras!

wow they're cheap flights! was the £140 for both ways?
i think there is a later flight home around 8pm ish but didn't know if we would struggle to fill the last day and just wish we were at home instead of hanging around.

You'll have a pass for the last day, so if you wanted to go for the later flight then that's an option.

I personally don't like checking out of the hotel and not having a base or the rest of the day. But I'm in the minority and I'm sure most people would rather have the extra time in the parks. I just always get a bit anxious on leaving day and would rather have a nice morning and then go than worry about my bags etc.

i know what you mean, usually on holiday we just want to get home on the last day.
I might stick to the tea time flight as it is cheaper and we could have a nice lunch then head home :) wouldnt be a late night for the kids then.

Thank you

I've just looked at easy jet and it doesn't list Paris as an option at all from Manchester :( (unless I am being dumb)

No it's me that's being dense...they used to do Man but it's now from Liverpool :rolleyes2

I'm exactly the same, I never really enjoy going home day in any case and would much rather get it over and done with!

I would go for the tea time flight too - it gives you time to have lunch etc without rushing. I much prefer to have a bit more time on the last day and not rush too much.

Where are you staying? If it is a Disney hotel they will keep your luggage for you on the last day. You can then collect when you are heading to the airport.

Haven't booked yet but it will be the sequoia lodge

Baggage hold in SL just outside the main entrance. Very handy on the last day. I'd book a late flight too, it makes all the difference.

We are flying Aberdeen - Frankfurt - Paris as this is by far cheaper than with Air France direct.
The five of us are flying with Lufthansa £715 in total :thumbsup2 booked via Expedia.

I'd do something similar but really dislike flying so couldn't stand 2 take offs and landings just to get there. Good price though

Father in law is the same about flying but our costs would more than double for direct. We decide that £143/person was too good a price to give up :thumbsup2

Yes that is both ways, when we booked them we just went for the cheapest flights both ways, was quite surprised it suited what we wanted! Lol

Regarding the "sitting around" we've always found this to be the case whether we have driven or gone by train. This is the time we get a hot chocolate, sit outside a café and do our "people watching" lol

Just had a look for us 4 again and the jet2 option we'll be going for works out just under £115 per person return and that includes 2 22kg bags between us all

Reading this thread has made me realise how lucky we are to have Easyjet flying from Bristol. I usually expect to pay between £50 and £60 each for us. Last visit the taxis to and from the airports cost me more than the airfare.

We could go with easy jet from Liverpool which isn't far but the flight times are late and it's still £370 for us all without bags.
I didn't think the flights would be as expensive as they are.

I now have to rely on an Easyjet sale to get decent prices from them, ie when I started planning next year's trip in the summer time this year, my normal Easyjet flights were around £160 for the 2 of us, no bags. Its usually no more than about £110.

How often do the airlines seem to have sales on?
Have never booked anything than a typical package holiday abroad do its all new to me.
Wondering if jet2 will have a sale at some point - does anyone know?
Want to book the hotel soon and ideally flights but wondering if we could get them cheaper than £400 ish

we are flying with easy jet. we booked our flights two weeks ago and are going on 18th December.

We are flying glasgow - CDG and our flights cost £40 each each way, so £160 total. we are only taking hand luggage as easy jet has no weight restrictions - as long as you can lift it yourself! :D

Wow that's really cheap, are they good flight times? Even when I priced up easy jet flights from another airport they were £100 ish each
