to the OKW lovers (or haters actually)

We've stayed at OKW numerous times and LOVE it! We've stayed in all of the different types of villas including the Grand Villa and the only problem that we've encountered as far as accommodation was on out last trip in August. We stayed in a 1 bedroom villa with our 2 daughters, our youngest daughter slept on the sleeper chair and said that it was really comfortable. However our oldest daughter slept on the pull out sofa bed and after about 10 days she was complaining of a really bad back. We stayed for 21 nights, so by the end of the trip her back was really bothering her. She had never slept on one of these sofa beds before, so we don't know whether it was the individual sofa or whether she would have had the same experience on a different one!

that's why we took the 2 bedroom - so the kids would have actual beds to sleep on...(plus two full bathrooms)...
it was just for the 4 of us, but the two bedroom made it bearable to be there for 4 weeks...

Hi Claire :)
We stayed there last year for 2 weeks and I fell head over heels in love with it! I thought it was a really attractive, tranquil resort. The one bedroom was massive and had better facilities than I have at home. Parking was right outside the building and the pools were quiet but not dead. It was a 10 minute walk to HH but I didn't find that a great hardship lol. The snack counters aren't great, we wouldn't bother returning to Olivia's but apart from that, I could not fault it.

We visited a few other resorts and we both kept saying, 'it's not as nice as OKW!'

Hi Claire
We own DVC at OKW, and absolutely love it. So relaxing and really feels like home from home.
For us the best buildings are 25 - 29 (I think) which are close enough to walk to HH but also are near the bus stop at Peninsular Road, so if you just miss a bus on its way into the resort you can run up to HH and catch it on it's way out. Also close enough to the pool for the boys to wander up there on their own.
Everyone is always so friendly and it feels much less crowded than any of the other resorts we stayed in before we bought dvc, All Star Movies and Caribbean Beach. Always suggest to the boys that we could try another resort next time and they never want to know! There's still enough Disney magic going on, like films shown by the pool, the games they put on for the kids etc.
The boat to DTD is great too.
Hope you like it :thumbsup2
