To suprise kids or not?

I don't think I could ever keep it a secret since I tend to plan so far out, I can't imagine not including them. So much depends on the individual. My youngest was afraid of alot, it was good to watch youtube and read books to explain things to him. Even this trip, he's timid about some things, but working up to it and watching youtube again may help get him on a few more rides.

BUT since we have been before we are always talking disney in our house.. so I AM getting their input for planning, by asking WHAT IF questions...lol
Like restaurant ADRS..
What one was your favorite..
what one didn't you like
what ride do you miss the most
which one didn't you like
Those types of questions
It's very hard keeping a secret...

This is exactly what we are doing! It is so hard since my 8 year old is my planning buddy, but it will be a great surprise. We've gone the last three years and they are expecting another trip this fall, but we told them we're saving for a bigger trip to Hawaii next summer (which we are really saving for too). They are bummed, but understand. We are going to "take daddy to the airport" for work the morning of our disney trip (something we do every few months for real) and then we'll surprise them with their luggage and get on the plane all together. It will be awesome! I just scrapbooked our last trip so I was able to ask lots of those questions above.
