I really want to get my trip booked for this fall but is it too early? Should I just settle down and wait? Patience has never been one of my strenghts. (Spelling either).

Lurking all over this boards isn't helping, its making me want to move my trip up but I really want to see all the Halloween decorations and take DS to the Trick or Treat party.

Heck no! The earlier the better I think. I always get the best prices for hotels and such when I book early. That way I also know how much money to save and such, because I've got all my plans figured out! :)

It's not too early - just keep an eye out for lower rates.

Ditto! I booked our hotel for November 08 back in December 07, just to insure we would get the entertainment rate. :goodvibes

Book now! I also agree that I am not patient but I wanted the Entertainment rate for the HoJo. I booked a month ago for the first week of October! Also, as a PP said, it is nice to be able to plan out a budget long in advance.

Book now! We are also going in Oct. and one of the nights we want to go is already gone for the room we need- big family!

If you are planning to stay onsite (GCH, DLH, or PPH) and book a package through WDTC, aaa, or costco, you might want to wait a bit. They've offered 4th night free in the fall the past few years. If you book now and they offer the promo later, you might have to pay a $200 change fee. Some have reported getting the fee waived if you upgrade ($$$) your package.

If you plan on booking hotel on your own, definitely do it now. I started planning our Sep/Oct 2005 trip Jan 2005 and noticed that hotel rooms only went up in price. If you find a lower rate, you can always cancel your original reservation and book at the newer lower rate.

I would book asap. I tried using the Entertainment code at Hojo's for 10/1-10/4 and there are no rooms avail with that code. So far I am booked at del sol since it is the cheapest I can find right now at $66 a night.

Thanks for all the encouragement to book, glad I'm not the only eager Disney visitor around.

I probably will go with either AAA Costco or Disney, I like the MM ticket and preferred seating. Maybe I should wait if they do a 4th night free I could stay an extra day. What I really wish they had at that time is the kids fly free, that would be cool.

That is what I am thinking of doing, too. I did book a room though...just in case I don't see any good packages.

Ha, I booked for 2009, exactly 1 year in avance! :dance3: SO by my standards you're already late in planning!

I'm hoping to make it to the Halloween Treat in 09. Alas, the closest I'll get to Disneyland in 08 is my inlaws house in San Diego. If my husband wants to torture me :crazy2: he'll drive us home from their house on the 91, taking us within a mile or so of DLR. I'll just remind myself....skipping this year means AP's in 2009!

10/1 and 10/2 are available at the ent. rate. right now. If you go to hojo's website and check under "boards" and go to the "discount" section, under the entertainment book area it will list the rooms that are available at present. It shows 10/1 and 10/2 as being available. :)

I just checked hojo's website. No availibiity for sd50 rates for 10/1-10/4. But there are sd50 rates for 10/1-10/3.

Last year, we started planning our Sept '07 trip in, hmm, January. I think I booked the package in February, and planned nonstop from then on. :)

What the heck am I still doing here?

Oh yeah. Upgraded to APs, went again in December, solo trip in January, still hoping for a windfall so I can butt in on the ladies only trip in April, going for DS's 4th b'day in May...and our APs don't expire until mid September, so who knows how many more trips we'll get in in our "Year of a Million Trips to Disneyland"?:rotfl:

Started planning for my May trip after we got back in Nov last year. Planning for another trip for our Thanksgiving trip now. I Love planning dual trips!

Its never too early.
