Training for a marathon and I am late to the party and am on an intense 10 week plan to get from a half to a full.

I will be finishing week 4 when we go to WDW for vacation. Landing on a Friday so I will miss a 5 mile run and then Saturday a 16 mile run will also be missed.

The next week I have 5 runs on the books. A 3.25 and 3 5's that will happen there and then 18 on Saturday which is the day we fly home so I figure I'll do it Sunday when I am home.

Kinda worried if I don't do the runs during the week then my long run will be scrapped and missing 2 long runs will be detrimental as the next week I have a 20 mile long run.

So how do you fit running into a vacation?

Staying offsite so nutrition will be something I can control a bit. I know it wont be perfect but I can atleast eat pre/post run with out limits/worry.

You are already on a compressed schedule as you know. Skipping any long runs at that stage will be detrimental in my opinion. You could probably skip 1-2 of the shorter runs.

I don't know what your park plans are. Do you have any light days you could do your long run on.

Alternatively you could try to do the 16 before you leave and the 17 when you get home and try to get some shorter runs in.
I recommend planning to run in the morning and schedule it or they won't happen. Pick out some routes before you leave as well.

I do short runs(up to 5 miles) at Disney but can't imagine doing the long run and then being in the park all day. I go first thing in the morning.
