Ok guys and dolls
I've read the posts on here for the most part on ROTM coaster and it didnt sound too bad, then I went to universals web site and it totally scared me,saying it preys on the fears of demons and bugs, soooo
I want toi ride it,i love coasters, but im so childish about scary(sp) stuff.
Could I ride itw/my eyes closed or am i being sill,is it not that bad?
Thankx

We just returned from an Easter vacation. If you skip ROTM you are missing the best ride in both parks. IMHO.
have a great vacation

Yes, you are being silly, but that's ok, you're not the only one.
Here, if you want to go on a POV ride, scroll down my page and see it.
You can hang on for dear life during the coaster part, and you'll survive.
At the top of the hill, the car makes a quick right and you need to hang on if you've never done it. Other than that, you'll come off laughing, and want to go again.

totally agree. I HATE rollercoasters...but this ride is AWESOME. The "coaster" part of it I equate to Big Thunder Mountain at MK (but smoother) and you HAVE to keep your eyes open. Nothing will touch you - you might get a wee bit damp (a few water sprinkles) but that's it. The effects/themeing in this ride are unbelievable.

soemtimes I wish the ride would break down in the first room just so I could look around more.

and - honestly - after the 2nd or 3rd ride - you know when everything is going to happen - so you can just sit back and enjoy.

Totally agree! You CAN'T miss ROTM. The effects are really awesome..when everthing is working as planned. Make sure you look in the treasure room for their tribute to Kong. BUT, look fast...you only have a few seconds.

Thanks guys,I didnt know if I should post this because I felt like a total baby, lol.but u never can be too sure, even though I know DH was goin make me go anyways. :teeth:
I do look foward to it.I'll tell u how I did when i get back thanks agian

OK OK..you twisted my arm! :rotfl:

Kongfrontation was in the same building as ROTM. Here's where you can find their tribute to Kong in the treasure room. Once you turn into the treasure room, look to the left side of the room. On the top "shelf" of treasures at the far end, there is a gold statue of Kong. But, look fast since the lights are only on for a few seconds. You may have to ride it again to see it but once you do, you can point it out to others.

BTW..I understand the original track for Kongfrontation was left on the ceiling but you can only see it if the lights are on. I haven't seen it personally but, friends who work there have.

Wow I have been on that ride 51 times(no seriously I count), but I never knew about the original track still being on the ceiling. I have seen glimpses of the ceiling of the ride and see two metal bars which I assume is part of the original track. Also the first time I saw the kong statue was on my 24th ride( I know I remembered that too :rotfl: ) It kind of blends in to the gold around him. I find it helps to not look for him but to look at the left side and he usually appears easily. Also if you miss him when the lights go on u can see him again when the fire somes out :teeth:

Right...it's funny how you hear about stuff huh? ;)

As to the tracks being left in place, a friend of mine got to ride it with the lights on in the testing phase and noticed the track overhead. I've also heard of people having to be evacuated when the ride breaks down..I think you can see it then..if you're looking for it.

No problem. Actually, I went over today for a while and I didn't see Kong on the shelf. I'm going back over this weekend and will look again.

Ill be there tomorrow and Ill check for him. Who knows maybe they took him down to polish him? Anyway I hope he is still going to be there:teeth:
