Howdy friends! We will be heading to DL next month for a week and are going back and forth about renting a car. We are staying at the Hyatt Regency Orange County. Google maps says it is a 34 minute walk. We have a 2.5 year old and a 4 month old. We will have their double stroller but our 2.5 year old tends to want to walk more. I don't want her to wear out her little legs by the time we are to the parks. We have a rental car reserved but it is $27/night to park at the hotel and another $18 to park at the parks. That is $45 a day just in parking alone. I just feel that money could be going toward a fun character meal or something. We also have a non-park day built into our schedule so I'm concerned we will be confined to the pool and hotel restaurant without a car. I just don't know what to do... :/ suggestions?

I would not under any circumstance want to walk for over half an hour after a long day at the parks to the hotel with two children. Plus you still have to walk out of the parks and out of the esplanade so add 5-10 minutes depending on where you are. I agree that that is expensive to have a car, so I would look into the shuttle the person above mentioned or Uber/taxi.

The Hyatt is a very nice hotel, but definitely too far to walk with little ones. Use the hotel's shuttle. I've heard good things about it.
