To plan or not to plan?

We had extra DVC points and decided to use them over the holidays. We will have three day park hoppers to use full days on December 17, 18, 19 ( Wed, Thu, Fri). We fly in early Tuesday (non park day) and fly out early Saturday. Last trip was in June 2024 and it was nonstop, planning each day. We also purchased Genie plus and some lightening lanes early each morning (I think that was the name then).

We are trying to decide how much planning we want to do this time. We are really low key adult travelers, enjoy all types of the attractions, good for early morning entries, like to find seats at the bar for meals, etc. We have been to WDW many times, but haven’t been there for the holidays in a while.

If you have been in our situation, how much planning did you feel was necessary?

I would def plan for Candlelight Processional dining and anything else that is new such as BeakandBarrel
Cake Bake Shoppe so pretty during holidays!

Agreed, and then I would rope drop (and LLSP the MOST important) and then just wander and enjoy (or even resort hop!) when lines get too long......My parents and I did a Crescent lake hop during Nov/Dec a few years ago and it was nice, but I wouldn't do it again over there SPECIFICALLY for the decorations......maybe WL or AKL might be of note or the monorail resorts, but if you get too bogged down with lines, you have many options to wander and just enjoy the ambiance everywhere!

I love the feeling of Epcot at Christmas time
