To park hop or not in Nov?

Since the parks close early in Nov., I'm not sure if we should do any hopping like usual. In the summer, we usually go in the morning, go back to swim and nap in the afternoon and then go back to the parks at 4 or 5:00. This doesn't sound feasible in Nov. Does anyone have any suggestions for the Nov. months when the parks close earlier. We like to have resort time too.

EPCOT is still open until 9 pm every evening (9:30 pm after Thanksgiving). Perhaps you could spend most evenings there.

You might also enjoy some time at DD, the Ft W campfires or one of the mini-golf attractions.

Best wishes -

Keep in mind that the reason MK closes earlier is because there are fewer crowds. You'll be able to get a lot more done in a shorter period of time.

Are you traveling with small children?

We went in Nov. of 2002 and like a previous poster said spent most of our evenings at Epcot except the one night MK was open late for Spectro. Our kids were 5 and 2 so we did have to take breaks in the afternoon for naps. We would stay in the parks until about 2 in the afternoon then go back for a swim and nap and go back to the parks around 5 (like I said usually Epcot, except for MK one night). If my kids hadn't been small though, I probably would have stayed longer. The weather was great, high 70's, low 80's and no humidity, so we didn't get tired from the heat.

-Could you get much done the nights you went to Epcot, or was it mostly to see Illuminations and walk around? Could you save all your Epcot touring for the evenings or did you designate another day as well? Thanks

I go in the offseason and usually split my time in the parks; however, my next trip, coming up in November, I've decided to take one park one day at a time. First time in a long time that I've decided not to hit the parks commando style. I figure that I am paying to stay at a nicer resort and want to come back at night to enjoy all that I can. Have fun and Nov. is a beautiful time of year to go.

This year is our third trip to WDW in November and we love it. We typically tour a park during the day, go back to the hotel (BCV/BW) around 2 or 3. Then we head over to Epcot for dinner. After a couple/three days, we've gotten to see most of Epcot without taking away from other parks during the shortened daytime hours.

We are going over Thanksgiving this November and we will most definately park hop over to Epcot every chance we get. You cant do everything at Epcot at night because the Future World part of Epcot closes at 7 and World Showcase is open until 9. I think the kidcot stations close at 8pm in the off season, so if you have kids and they want to make a mask, you will have to get that done during the day. The more we go to Disney, the more we love walking at Epcot. We are staying at the Dolphin this trip and its really our first whole stay outside of the value resorts. ( we stayed at PO before during our cruise, and thanksgiving day 02 because all the all star rooms were booked thanksgiving night) Besides the awesome AP rate we got, we are thrilled to be able to walk to and from Epcot every night. When MK and AK close at 5, 6 or 7, we always hop over to Epcot. We also spend at least 2 whole days at Epcot too. We have hopped over to MK some nights to catch Spectro. Usually the days that spectro is showing in the off season are crowded at MK, so we avoid MK during the day, and hop over in the evening to see the parade and fireworks. We have always gone off season, but we never did the 'go back and nap' thing with the kids. We started going when our DD's were 3 & 5 in 1999, and started taking our DS when he was just 3 months old ( he's been there 4 times already and he's only 2!!) He always slept in the stroller when he was tired, and we never had to leave the parks. Its always worked out great that way for us. With the shorter hours, we get back to our room at a decent hour, and the kids swim at night some times and they get to bed early. I Love going in value season!!! 99 days and counting for me!! woooo
