To monorail or not . . .

Fresh back from the Beach Club (awesome place to stay). We normally try to stay at a new resort each time we visit, which is every 18 months to two years. We have stayed at AKL and all the Magic Kingdom deluxes, except the GF (which doesn't interest us). My children are 8 and 11. I had such a great time, I am ready to book again for end of next year, but my husband wants to be on the monorail again. My kids adored the pool at BC, and I thought about trying YC so I get my new resort fix and they get the pool. But we do spend the majority of our time at the MK. For those of you that like to tour the resorts, should I try YC, or go back to a tried and true MK resort?

I would do the YC. I have only stayed at the BC but I hear it very nice and the pics on WDW.com look great! I would stay there b/c, like you said the AMAZING pool they have!!!

and just think you can still use the monorail for going to MK plus if you have some meals there also.

or if you really want do a split - 1/2 of the time at YC and then the other 1/2 time at Poly/CP - whichever one you want.

I have never split before but its up to you!

If you plan on spending most time in the MK, I would stay at a monorail resort. Poly is our favorite Disney resort hands down. One of the reasons is because not only do you get the convenience of the monorail right from the great ceremonial house, but you can also walk to the TTC and catch the monorail to Epcot. Also, great dining options and who wouldn't want to sit on the beach and watch wishes right from your resort? Ahhhh, to think 2 weeks ago I was there....*sigh If you just tried an Epcot area resort, why not try a MK area resort?

If you love Magic Kingdom, I can't imagine anything better than staying at Contemporary and walking to and from MK without having to wait for a monorail. We loved Poly also, and actually preferred the small boat over the monorail.

But Contemporary stole my heart!
