Does anyone think the prices will drop on flights from Boston to MCO between now and April 30? Song is currently cheaper, but I have a Jetblue credit. What's you best guess?

What are the prices you are looking at? I check Jetblue daily since they change so often. I booked my march trip for $119 each way and last week one way dropped to $79. I called and got a credit for $120 (3 tickets). But this week the prices are back up over $100.

If it is not a bad price why not buy it now and call and get a credit if it goes down? I guess it all depends on what the price it now. Good luck.

If JetBlue's prices are ones you can live with, I would go with them, especially since you have credit. If the prices are through the roof, I would go with Song.

Does your JetBlue credit expire? If you don't use them on this trip, will you have the opportunity to use them before they expire?

I can't speak to any real trends with JetBlue out of Boston, since they've only been flying out of here a little more than a year.

Good Luck--I really wasn't much help, was I?

Have you priced out the one-way fares? I've actually gotten a better deal on a few occassions when I've flown Flysong into Orlando and then JetBlue back home to Boston.

Thanks, you were all great help! I think I'll give it another week or so. The flights I want are $124/$104, and if March just went down a bit last week, April may be next! How was flying one-way? do you get any more hassles from security, and does it cost any more?

On two trips, the price worked out to be less expensive by booking the one ways. Plus I looked over the flight time options and found which one I liked better. If you notice on JetBlue & Flysong website, they give you the price of each way. It's the same whether you are booking one way or round trip.

As for security, we got selected for the special search on one of our one-way trips. It ended up being shorter than the regular security line.

When in April are you flying? If it's April school vacation or the week following Easter, those flights might be the best you're going to do.

I agree with Tammi McMan. One ways might be the way to go. We've flown JetBlue once as 2 one ways, and Song once as two one ways, and we were prepared for extra security screening, but it did not really happen. I got pulled out only once.

I would not wait too much longer, but definitely look into the 2 one ways on both Song and JetBlue, going into MCO and/or TPA.

Good Luck
