To Infinity and The Contemporary!

I have to say Kathy, that you gave me a laugh when I was reading your rant. I thought...boy, this woman really needed to get these issues off her chest!:rotfl2:

As long as it didn't spoil your vacation, which clearly it didn't. That's the main thing.

Absolutely did not spoil the vacation! I am serious that I would stay at the Contemporary again, even with no hot water. I did get a kick writing about it though :upsidedow

I think I enjoyed this update the best Kathy! You had me laughing my big old bum off today. :lmao: I just wish my co-workers would have thought your splashy sinks and orphaned water was as funny as I did!! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Thanks for the laughs.

OK, so does that mean they were giving you looks because you were laughing while you were reading, or because you showed it to them and they didn't think it was funny??? :confused3

I was laughing so hard at the time and tried to tell them about it. I don't think they could understand what I was saying because I was laughing too hard. Eh, they're all drips anyway. :lmao: Later on I showed another co-worker your post and now he's using the "orphaned" term on everything.:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: Thanks for the laughs girl. I needed a good laugh today and got it!:thumbsup2

Well, I at least I accomplished something worthwhile today :rotfl: You're lucky I didn't mentioned the orphaned gobs of spit-out-toothpaste that got stuck in the flat sink and needed to be rinsed away, which is how the water got orphaned in the first place  It's a vicious cycle :sad2:

I would LOVE to see a freakishly tall person brush their teeth at one of those sinks! :rotfl2:

great update kiddo.:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

those sinks are hilarious.:rotfl2: :lmao:

Glad you enjoyed it - those sinks WERE hysterical, only Frank just wasn't getting it :lmao: And I never really got used to the seizure-inducing wall paper. They did have a really cool motion sensor night light in the bathroom :cool1:

So what's it going to be like to walk your daughter down the aisle in the wedding dress your wife wore??? Don't forget to pack the tissues :goodvibes

Well, I got choked up just reading about it!

My guess is that Cassie hopes the dress works out as well for her as it did for her Mom :thumbsup2 How many years has it been for you two? ;)

Don't worry I doubt the rest of your family is DISing and I only saw you mention in once...

And finally: (drumroll)

1) Mickey Mouse waffles!

Our server brought us coffee and tea and a pitcher of the most yummy, yummy fruit juice. It was a mix of orange and passion fruit juice! Then the rest of the food arrived: scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage and biscuits. Last but not least were the MICKEY WAFFLES!!! Now, I guess I SHOULD feel guilty about eating waffles that are shaped like Mickey's head. :guilty: But after the first bite I usually get over it. This time was no exception. The are so light and fluffy and they just keep bringing them! Yum Yum :cloud9: Here's Frank, about to dig into one:

Finally, with our tummies full of Mickey waffles and yummy juice, we dragged ourselves out of our chairs and headed back to the monorail for our trip to the Magic Kingdom.

Until the next time, bye bye 'Ohana!

I have to tell you, the "guilt" about the Mickey Waffles reminds me of my last trip to WDW 16 years ago. I went with my mom and sisters to King Stephan's Royal Banquet Hall in Cinderella's Castle (which doesn't make any sense, but I guess that's why they changed it). Our server brought us out a Mickey margarine sculpture for our bread. Our server was talking about how sad it was that people chopped Mickey up and spread him on the bread, and while he was talking (we were all teenagers and had enough of his speech and him treating us like babies) my little sister proceeded to stab Mickey Margarine repeatedly like he was in the shower at the Bates Motel. Needless to say, our server stopped treating us like babies for the rest of the meal. We had a wonderful time laughing while we ate.:rotfl2:

BTW, this is one of the best trip reports I have seen on this board.:)

i married way out of my league.:cloud9:

That is hysterical! That's probably why they don't have those Mickey butter sculptures anymore :lmao:

Thanks so much for the kind words about the trip report! This is my first attempt, so I appreciate the encouragement! I do need to get this moved over to the Trip Report thread, but I was waiting until I finished my last chapter.

Thanks for reading :thumbsup2

So, you likey them??? :lmao: ...

I do! I likey them! - I read all the annoying bits about them but I still likey them! I wouldnt want them in my home, but I likey the style:goodvibes

We had a mickey butter too - I have a photo somewhere! (surprise surprise!:rolleyes1 )... we couldnt eat him. I had dry bread that day:rolleyes1

Sinks....don't get me started on sinks. When we redecorated our bathroom a few years ago there were never any normal sinks. Just ones like this:

Now being short, just over 5ft, I could never use one of these. Might as well do a way with a sink altogether and go back to a jug and basin.:rotfl2:

OK, well you and Frank are going to get along just fine :rolleyes1

I would love to see a photo of that!:lmao: Yes, that's a challenge Karen - start digging for that photo

I whole heartedly agree!

Why thank you! I have been pleasantly surprised to see so many people reading along. So far, Frank has posted any comments saying that I got something wrong or was exaggerating (then again, he's used to that :rolleyes1 ), so I guess I'm doing OK :thumbsup2

I redid my kitchen a few years ago, and I went with Corian countertops with an under-mount Corian sink:

I loved it so much, when I redid my master bath, I did the same thing with the vanity - Corian top with coordinating sink (Sadly, no pictures). I LOVE IT!!!

ok, I tried, but....26 large albums later and I still cant find it:rolleyes: ...I'm beginning to think it didnt make the grade and didnt make it into an album.:confused3 Its either been shredded or is in a box in the loft.:confused3
