On April 27th, we will be boarding the beautiful Disney Wonder and hitching a ride on her first ever trip to Canada. We will be making an overnight port call in San Francisco (how cool is that?) and then onto Victoria, BC. We will end up in Vancouver on 5/3.

As if that isn't exciting enough, we will be arriving in California 3 days early to visit Disneyland, where it all began. ::MickeyMo

I am incredibly excited since I have never been to Disneyland before and my First Visit will be on my birthday, April 25th! :yay: This will be a birthday to remember :thumbsup2

I'll be traveling with my DB Frank and my traveling Build a Bear monkeys, Tink & Toby. Tink will be writing on her Facebook page from time to time to document the stuff I missed.

So here's an outline of what we have planned, so far.

The Villas at Disney's Grand Californian
Disneyland by Day, via Frank's Touring Plan
My Birthday dinner at the beautiful Napa Rose
AllEars Meet at the LaBrea Bakery Express
California Adventure, via Frank's Touring Plan, Part 2
Dinner at Ariel's Grotto
World of Color (in Premium seats, no less!)
Off to the Port to meet The Wonder
Here we go - Sailaway Party
First Day at Sea - Did someone say Spa Villa?
San Francisco Here We Come - Sailing under the Golden Gate
Walt Disney Family Museum
The Presidio (didn't there used to be an Army here?)
Which way to the chocolate? - The ORIGINAL Ghirardelli
Alcatraz by Night (ooooooooooo, scary)
Dinner at Palo (with some surprising scenery)
Pirates of the Pacific pirate:
Walk the Deck to fight Breast Cancer
Brunch at Palo including 'The Palo Incident'
Victoria, BC - Grand City Tour and Empress Tea (an adults only adventure)
Our last night at Sea :sad1:
Vancouver - Post Cruise Vancouver Highlights tour
Amtrak Cascades - A scenic Ride to Seattle
Now it's time to say good-bye...

Let the records show...MG is your first follower! :thumbsup2

Can't wait to hear about Alcatraz. :)

Can't wait to see pictures/videos of the Wonder cruising under the Golden Gate Bridge. The sooner you get the Wonder to Vancouver, the sooner my cruise will happen!! Hope you have a great time!

Checking in.
The Presidio is beautiful. Every time I go there I tell Sean I want one of the old Army housing houses to live in. You can't take pictures in the WD museum, but bring your camera because they have an area with a huge window with the best view of the Golden Gate. Just FYI, George Lucas' Industrial Light Magic is there as well, but they don't do tours. :(

We promise to take good care of the Wonder and get her to Vancouver safely for you. However, I can't guarantee that the rum won't be all gone :drinking1

Hi Becky! I was actually on the Presidio base many years ago with my father's cousin, who was married to an Army Colonel. I remember the incredible views of the Golden Gate. Can't wait to see what it looks like now. We were bummed when we found out that ILM doesn't do any tours :sad2:

Howdy Dawg! :wave2:

How exciting. You are going to love GCH and Napa Rose. I recommend stopping at the Golden Vine Winery and getting a glass of wine if that's your thing. The food is not so great there but they have a place where you can walk up and just get wine. You can carry your wine around the park! Alcatraz is very cool, be sure to do the walking tour. You are going to have a great time on the Wonder! :goodvibes

Thanks for the suggestion. I'm not one to turn down a glass of wine and it would be kind of fun to walk around the park with one.

We are doing the Alcatraz night tour, which is supposed to be the best tour plus we are hoping for a fabulous sunset behind the bridge.

Tink & Toby want everyone to see that they are ready for Pirate Night pirate:

Yay to Canada!:cheer2: Although I've never been to BC... Nate has though. It's 3 full days of driving from where we are or a million $s to fly there:headache: Can't wait to read more Kathy:thumbsup2

Can't wait to follow your fabulous trip!!!! Have a great time and say hi to Frank( and of course Tink & Toby).

Enjoy San Francisco- one of my favorite cities!!!

I'm in! I'm booked for a Pacific cruise next year and can't wait to read all the TR for this trip.
BTW.. the 'seating' for World of Color is really standing..ther are no seats for the show. You eat dinner then line up to enter the viewing area where you stand. Having the dinner, though, does get you the best viewing area. Someone said Wine Country didn't have good food, but I really enjoyed my meal there..and yes, get a glass of wine to enjoy while you watch WOC. A tip..if DCA closes early, make sure you get your wine early as they quit selling it 1 hour before park closing which I discovered in January.
It sounds like a wonderful trip! Looking forward to 'coming along'.:)

YEAH! Another trip report for our cruise! See you on the ship on Wednesday!!

Thanks for the tips :flower3: I guess I misused the word 'seating' - chalk it up to excitement! It would be nice to have a glass of wine during WOC :drinking1 I probably won't sleep too much that night anyway because we'll be heading for the WONDER the next morning! :yay:

Isn't this exciting? Looking forward to meeting everyone. I hope a few more people will be TRing - since we can't do all of the tours I'd be interested in hearing about everyone else's adventures.
