Well, maybe did not make you warmer, but you sure felt better about where you are. :)

Dan, I was hoping this was one of your warm pictures. I didn't need to see snow....Although the blue sky isn't something I've seen in the last day, week, month........:sunny:

 I thought our wind chill of -15 was bad!
I too was hopping to see a nice warm picture. If I want snow I just need to look out my window.

Dan You are always so informative :D

Dan, I clicked on your link to their current weather. I was literally "blown away" when I read "Wind: From the Northwest at 81 gusting to 98 mph ". WOW!!

Do you think anyone actually WANTS that job or do you suppose they are sent there as punishment? :p

DoeWDW--working the observatory on Mt. Washington is something akin to a badge of courage. If you can say you worked there in the winter...well folks think you are either super tough, or  .

Dan--that did not help. I was hoping for one of your warm pictures too!!!!!

</center>Okay, I guess that was mean, LOL........

Here is the GF, in a warm, early December sunset, probably about 71º then.........

Thanks, Dan!!

And, Debster, I suppose manning a weather station in central Florida would be wimping out, right? My hat is off to anyone who has worked that Mt. Washington observatory! ::yes::

Say, Dan, when are you going to post the pictures you took at the meet on the 4th of December?

Those of us who prefer picture #2, jump up and down.....:Pinkbounc :bounce: :jumping1: :jumping3: :jumping2: :jumping4: :cool1:

Ooh, I was hoping for something a little warmer! It is -4 here with the wind chill. And, if that wasn't bad enough, an office email was sent around today stating that we can't use space heaters in our cubes or offices. It is freezing in here, and I can't feel my feet!

:jumping1: :jumping1: :jumping1: :jumping1: :jumping1: :jumping1: :jumping1:

I've been watching it snow here all day!

Beautiful pictures Dan (both of them!)

But I'm still cold!

Brrr.

Snow tonight too :hyper:

Thanks, Dan!

It is currently -6 right now and may get to -11 tonight!!
That's without the wind chill factor. They think it may be -34.
UGH! Take me to WDW!!

yup, they're saying -11 for tonight here too...and supposedly this won't be the coldest night of the week in nh either:eek: not sure how that is possible but that is what i have heard...at 6:30 this morning the windchill on the top of mt washington was an even -100. not only is it a badge of honor to have worked at that observatory (not something i will ever do) but it is a mark of complete insanity. i've always wondered how many people get blown off that mountain every winter.....
and both of those pictures are beautiful, although i definitely preferred the second one; i can see snow sitting here typing...
