I'm renting DVC. $440.00 for four nights in a studio, including a Saturday at OKW, I will take it. At least I will be done with it!

I gave up, too. I've got a room at the Homewood Suites just off of Rt 192 for $62 a night. No, I may not be immersed in the "magic" for 24/7, but I've got a bedroom separate from a living room, 2 TV's, a smallish kitchen, and free breakfast every day. Plus, since I'm either in the parks or out and about elsewhere during the day and evening, I would be asleep and wouldn't be able to enjoy the "magic" at my resort anyway.

Oh well, too bad WDW resorts! You've lost yet another customer.

Ditto here... we booked the Swan and are going check out Universal and Seaworld which we have never done before. We may find out that we even like them in which case, we will spend less vacation days at Disney next year.

We said the same thing only we are staying at the Dolphin with its great $99 a night Labor Day rate. The AP rates at the EC deluxes never come close to $99. The best I have ever seen is $169 for a standard view room at the BWI and the YC.

WOW! Great deal! We usually stay at the Swan or Dolphin but we're renting from a DVCer for 2 nights at BWV at $400 total. I thought I got a good deal but yours sounds like a steal! Good for you! ENJOY!

We had inquired about BWV but they only had preferred view left which would have put us at $580.00 for the four nights. My friend that I am going with just seperated from her boyfriend and had to move into her own place, is in school, and well, basically needs to save some cash so we went with OKW. I think it was a bargain!

Maybe next time BWV for us. When are you going? The points needed for your stay were probably higher. BWV is more points than OKW anyway, I know that. But it also goes up by season too. We are going in September which requires the lowest amount of points.

In any event, I am just relieved to not worry about how much my room is going to cost anymore. I know how much it will cost and I am happy with it.

Oh, I see your countdown now. Are you in a studio? If so, that seems kind of high unless they are both weekend nights in which case it would be a steal.

Wow what a great deal at OKW !!
I heard about a great place called Holiday Villas does anyone know anything about them? They are off property but I got some great reviews and we were gonna stay there in may 2003 but we ended up in the park
I really dont understand Disney

We will be in a Studio (DH and I) on Dec 12-14th pre-Wonder Cruise. We can't wait! This Resort area of Disney is our favorite! We save up every dime and penny for these trips because we like to take advantage of everything and not worry about a budget...it's easier when you don't have kids, I guess (so we're taking advantage of that now). The point renting was such a great deal. We are saving so much $$ as we would have wanted to stay at BWI anyway.

Just Cancelled AKL. They asked why - I said because of no AP rates. I then booked 2 bed villa for additional 3 nights.
