To have video or not!?

My DH and I went back and forth on this issue of having a video or not. He didn't and I did. Well after it is all over and done with... I can honestly say thank god we did.

We just got done watch our wedding video for the first time with my parents. We were all crying all over again. It seemed like such a dream. I am so glad we got a video. Thank god I got my way on this one. He is now so happy we have it. We used Disney for the video and they did a wonderful job. I forgot to tell them that I didn't want to have people talking and saying things about us. To my surprise there was none of that. They only real talking parts were our vows. There were so many wonderful moments throughout the video. One minute we all had tears in our eyes and the next we were laughing. It was so nice to see it all over again.

If you have room in your budget, I beg you to get the video. If you are waivering one way or the other .... get the video. This is only my opinion but I feel so strong about that I had to post it here.

I completely agree, our day was such a blur, its so nice to be able to sit back and relive it. It also helps spread the magic to people who could not be with us.

I completely agree! Our day went by so quickly and im so glad we chose to get the video! We have only seen the sneak peek so far but i cant wait to see the full video!

I'll agree as well....we got the smallest video package as we thought it wasn’t that important....turns out everyone loves the video...Disney did a wonderful job of capturing the whole day

Thank you for posting this! I was going over the budget last night and was considering cutting video out but after reading this I definitely won't. I look at it like I wish I could see my parents' wedding now and it's something I can show to my kids later. Also, whenever my future husband and I get in a fight I can watch it and figure out why I married him in the first place!

I would def. get a video.. Its nice to see the day twenty to thirty years from that day...

We didn't have video and were glad that we didn't. After all, we both were dreading having just a photographer follow us around...just the thought of adding a videographer to that group made our stomachs turn. We both hate having our pictures taken!

We didn't do it either. I LOVE our pictures, but I know we would never have watched the video, I get really embarrassed watching myself on tape, and DH was totally against it. My sister wanted to video it herself but we told her no. I don't regret it at all. My memories of the day are perfect and that is how I'll always remember it. I don't need a video to remind me, or even perhaps dash my perfect memories.

We didn't hire a videographer (Heck for the money you can go out and buy a brand new upscale camcorder... which is just what we did!). We used that money, bought a videocamera... and my mom and dad set up the tripod and taped our wedding at SBP. Also we hired Randy Chapman and he was so helpful with it. He helped move the camera along with my parents and all in all- we got great footage.

We sadly didnt do the video. DH said it was a huge expense and I gave in
I am so sad I never did it. I have pictures, but they're not the same.

I am undecided as well. I know the day is going to go by so quickly. I want to be able to see it, but I am almost too nervous about looking at it later and thinking I look silly or awkward.
