To-go order at Le Cellier?

I read in another post that you can place a to-go order for bread and cheese soup from Le Cellier? Anyone know if you can actually do this? And if so, how do you go about placing the order?

When I went in Sept it could not be done so i am interested too.

I have read one report (maybe two) where this was allowed, but dozens and dozens of reports that this is not allowed and people have tried and been told 'no'.

My guess is that 'not allowed' is the norm, and Disney reserves the right to allow it on occasion to spread their magic.

I've done it twice and been refused twice - try, but don't plan on getting it.

I have been calling to get an ADR once or twice a day for the past 4 weeks to Le Cellier (not giving up hope). Anyway - when I called Sunday I asked the CM if they do to go orders. She was not sure so she put me on hold while she did some research. When she came back she said that they do not do to go orders at Le Cellier. I was bummed because I was hoping to do that as my backup plan if I do not end up with an ADR.

My D-I-L and I tried a couple of years ago to get an order of soup and breadstick to go and the CM at the podium actually looked insulted. She told us they "never do to go orders". I thought I'd try again last May and was again told no.

I was wondering how that worked. I have never seen anyone do take out when I have been there in the past. I have read about people doing this too for the soup and pretzel breadsticks. I have been trying to get a reservation in for our August trip, but was going to see if this was a back up possibility.

We were able to get the soup to go a couple of years ago--but not the breadsticks. The order didn't seem as large as in the restaurant & was at least as expensive. I would not try it again.

We ordered beer to go from Le Cellier once - took a few minutes and they wouldn't honor TIW but it was worth it since Unibroue is the best available at Disney.

It would be great if they opened a small counter service outfit! They could sell soup, bread sticks, beer, and desserts. They can do it for F&W so it would be awesome to do on a regular basis. I think Disney could make a killing off all us cheese soup addicts.

I so miss those Beaver tails...they were yummy
