We just went to Disney beginning of March and had a blast. The kids have asked us not to take them out of school again to go on vacations. It was too much to make up and the teachers were awful about it! So we need to do vacations during school vacations or summer. I'd rather not go during school vacations..too busy. Should we make another trip down this August or wait until next year? I don't know if I can wait another 1.5 to take a vacation. I have park tics left, hotel is cheap, only airfare to worry about? What would you do????? Are we crazy???

Go Go Go. I am having some serious WDW withdrawal. My sister is there RIGHT NOW, and I doubt we'll be going anytime soon. I keep trying to come up with some way to go, but DH keeps shooting sown my ideas.

I say go if you can!

Yes you are  !

:rotfl2:

We are going in April & I am trying to convince DH since we have APs and we fly for free on his miles, we need to do another trip in Nov, before our next trip next April. So I guess I am as  as you!

Go :) I see you live in MA...not sure how close you are to RI but SW flights are really cheap...we're flying to Orlando in June for $49 each way.......hope you decide to go and have a blast!!!

We're going in April. After planning this April's vacation we said the next time we go we need to go with the in-laws (DH parents). I'm trying to convince my in-laws to plan a vacation for October 2005 and go to the "World". Then we'll have our excuse to go again. Our kids are young so taking my one out of school has yet to become an issue.

But I'd say any excuse to go sooner rather than later is always a good one. Go in August.

Another MA resident here... If you can handle the late August heat and humidity, it is definitely a less crowded time of the year than many others. So that's the upside. We went late last August and also did a brief December trip this year, but I agree December was much more of hassle for the kids than for us grown-ups. We actually found the crowds to be more reasonable in late August than in early December...

What about early June? The kids will be out of school, but the whole 'summer craziness' hasn't kicked in completely yet.

Do the kids get a whole week for Thanksgiving? Go on Friday when they get out of school and come home Wed. or early Thursday before the crowds get nutty.

Just some ideas...

I think we might put off going until Feb of next year and do a road trip this summer. We can't seem to decide what to do. Decisions, Decisions, Decisions!!! I wished I lived a couple of hours away from WDW! HOpe you all have a super time on your vacations!

As a teacher, I am disappointed when kids miss a lot of school, but it happens. And I always give them the make up work and credit for those assignments. As long as the kids are not out for several weeks at a time, I don't see a Major problem. However, I too take time off of "school" to go to Disney. It is the only way to get there with out the crowds. I say, get as much of the homework as possible before the kids leave, let them do it on the plane to and from, and GO Enjoy. School will still be there when we all get back from FL. :teacher:
