Hi, I'm going to make reservations for the CR using AAA discount. But I also plan on using (or trying to) an AP rate when they come out. I know that if I reserved a room at rack rate now, I could just call and appy the AP discount when the time came.

But if I reserve the room with a AAA rate now, will I have to cancel the reservation and book a new one if I want to use the AP rate later?

I hope that made sense.....

I had a AAA reservation for December. When AP rates came out, I called and they transfered the reservation to AP rate. They kept the deposit I had previously made, which meant our balance was less. We ended up getting a new confirmation, with the same number. It was very easy.

I have had it work both ways for me. The last time I was able to modify the existing reservation with the AP code - but the time before I had to cancel my existing reservation and make a new one. I believe I had to do that that time because I booked over the internet. So if you are calling in your reservation you should be able to call and modify.

Either way it still works out but it is easier to just be able to modify the reservation!
