Basically, I was nervous about going to see Roger at his shop. His mom has never met me and I was nervous about meeting her. This morning at around 8:00, I left my apartment and went over to his shop. I got there (around the corner from his shop since I was so nervous and had to kind of get calmed down before I actually went to his shop) around 8:30 and he got to his shop around 8:45. I waited about five minutes after he got there to actually go over to the shop. When I got there, I knocked on the door and it turned out he had a customer (considering that this was before the shop opened, I assume this was probably a pretty long-term customer.) The customer told me to come in and that Roger was in the back room. So, I did and waited until Roger came out. I figured he was going to play it like I was a good friend not his "lady" and I was prepared to do that as well. He called me "baby" at least four times in front of the customer, told me he had gotten the letter that I sent him, told me he would call me later today, and basically left no doubt in his customer's mind of our relationship. So now I feel a lot more comfortable going over there. I know that I'll eventually run into his mom but I'm even okay with that.
