Hi all,

DDP has always worked pretty well for us, but would like to hear if you think so for this trip. Trip is just me, DD and DM for DD's 9th b'day, so she still falls under the kids plan. It will be about $66 per day on the DDP. WE have booked CRT and Mickey's BBQ and those are paid for. We are staying 6 nights, 3 at BCV and 3 at BLT so my options are this...

1. Pay DDP for all 6 nights and use 4 of the TS credits for CRT and BBQ

2. Pay OOP for CRT and BBQ and only get the DDP for first 3 nights

3. Pay OOP for CRT and BBQ and only get the DDP for last 3 nights

4. Skip the DDP, put the cost of the DDP on a GC and hope for the best.

Any thoughts? I know some people do not like DDP but we like being paid for upfront. However, this time I'm just wondering if it might be too much food.

You know DVC you can add dining for only nights you want right?

I personally would keep the two ressies you have and add the Quick Service Dining Plan!

Wait..... are you DVC or just staying DVC resort?

I am dvc but you can no longer segment dining, except if you are switching rooms.

DVC stopped allowing segmenting of reservations for the purposes of alternating dining plans in October. Anyone adding the dining plan after that must get the plan for all nights of their reservation, unless they want to book completely separate reservations. With separate reservations, even if they are in the same resort at the same room level, the guest will be taking the chance that they will have to change rooms when they check out and check back in.

Split stays with different dining plans are fine, but you can't change your dining plan within one reservation.

To the OP: Be careful if you buy DDP for both reservations and want to use it to pay for a 2 credit restaurant on the day you switch resorts. If you have one TS credit left on the account for your first stay, you cannot combine it with a credit from the second stay to pay for a 2 credit meal.

Well, you'd be okay with your child credits using them for these two 2TS meals, but you'd be losing some as an adult.

With the adult plan, your TS credits are "worth" about $30-$35. The price of these two is below that, but you'd be making up for it with her savings.

This really does become a personal choice. Do you have two other TS places you'd like to do? If so, then go for the plan and enjoy! If these are the only two you want to do, then I'd do OOP for it all.
