To Color Or Not To Color?

would you let them?

  • Sure, why not?

  • I might need a little convincing, but probably would.

  • I might allow them to state their case, but doubt they'd convince me.

  • Absolutely not!

My 13 year old has talked about it this past year, and as soon as she gets over her upcoming surgeries we've told her if she wants to, yes. I'm like someone else, you've gotta pick your fights. And, hair color isn't a biggie.:) Besides about the only rotten thing she does is pick at her little brother.:)

In my day, long hair was a manner of expression, much like coloring hair is today. I grew mine long, long, long. My kids haven't done anything with their hair. My son keeps his close-cropped and natural.

I'm almost disappointed! ;)

I say yes because kids need an outlet to rebel and to be independant. I'd rather it be hair color then drugs or something else dangerous.

I don't know, it depends on a lot of things, age the first one, then whatever they may want to do to their hair.
My 9 yr old has already asked me if I would let her dye her hair blonde and I said absolutely not she's way too young. Maybe when she's 18 and has a real job, LOL.

My DD is 8 1/2 and has blue hair. Some of you might remember the picture I posted before. She wants pink when this grows out.
