We have ADR's @ LeCellier on our first night of our trip. While I've been to Disney on 18 separate trips, I've never dined here but all the hype on here had me try for our last trip (no luck scoring an ADR) and then again for this trip in which I got a 5:30 for 8/17. I've looked the menu over again and again and I'm just so uncertain. I loathe fish (salmon especially!!) and I don't really care for steak (DH likes it, but he's more of a ribs and chicken kind of guy). I will do chicken, but on the dinner menu, that leaves me only 1 thing to choose from :rotfl: The chicken choice does look good, but I'm just wondering if it's really worth it for us if we're not really big steak fans??? Of course the children's menu is not so hot, but that's to be expected of most places anyway for TS.... should I switch to Garden Grill even though we already have 4 character meals? (Chef Mickey's, Crystal Palace, Cape May breakfast, and CRT?)??????

the cheddar soup is amazing, but it is great for it's steaks....how about another country such as Japans Teppanyaki restaurant...my kids love having the food made in front of them and they have very good varied meals )chix & steak & shimp etc)

I personally love everything at Le Cellier - but it sounds like you may not. That's okay - different strokes for different folks! If there is really only one item on the menu that sounds good then you may want to think about going to another resturant. I hear Resturant Marrakesh is great for chicken lovers :)

I'm just like you in terms of what I won't eat, but I looooved Le Cellier. The cheese soup is amazing, so where the mashed potatoes. I got the fettucine alfredo which was also delicious and the desserts were great. I would say go to Le Cellier just to try it. You might be really surprised with how much you liked it!

KEEP IT!! I was finally able to make and keep our ressie last year and we all loved it, including my very pickey 11 and 5 year olds. The creme brulee is to die for. I ws very lucky to get another PS for our Sept trip, even if it is at 8 pm. We are sticking to it!

We usually eat at LeCellier once while there. I personally do not like the cheese soup. The Pretzel bread and filets are my favorite. Our service was really bad last year (2 hours plus for 3 people) so we are going to skip it this year probably.

I was so excited to get a 6pm ADR for our last trip, but ended up being somewhat disappointed. The wait was horrible and our service was mediocre. The food was okay, but didn't WOW us.

I don't eat red meat so I got the chicken over the fish and it was really good. But DH and I weren't really "wow'ed" by this place. We weren't overly impressed with the cheese soup because we go to a place at home that makes the best cheese soup ever. The food was good, but I think it is the hype that draws people there.

You can always do Le Cellier for lunch. They have burgers, and steaks, and salads and pretty much the same appetizers.

My rule for choosing a Disney World restaurant - the menu has to have at least two things each person will eat without hesitation. Appetizer, salad or entree. I don't count desserts. If I find a place that has a burger, that's one choice for my husband.

You might want to check out LeCellier's lunch menu. Could be more to your liking. Make a reservation for a very late lunch and you wouldn't be eating that much earlier than your dinner time you already have. And lunch is much less hectic, especially in the late afternoon.

I'd say keep it if you want to be able to say you've been there. If there's basically one thing on the menu that you'd be interested in and you don't care about all the "hype," I'd can LeCellier. We tried it three different times and sorely regretted having to give up all the food sampling we normally enjoy all through Epcot. I'd compare LeCellier with Outback on a bad, crowded day. Plus, I can get steak (premium, as well as LeCellier quality) any day at home. There are so many interesting, exotic things to try in Epcot.

Yes, different strokes for different folks, but we are big steak eaters, and I doubt we'd ever return to LeCellier -- especially with all the selection of foods in the countries of Epcot we rarely get at home.

I would keep it, but Garden Grill doesn't really interest me that much :cool1:

I'm just like you in terms of what I won't eat, but I looooved Le Cellier. The cheese soup is amazing, so where the mashed potatoes. On the menu at allears.net i dont see fettucine alfredo :(!! R u sure they have it there my dd would love it!! I posted a theard about it and everyone said NO booo! :scared1:

Le Cellier used to be a must have each trip, but we have noticed the past 2 trips how service had gone down hill. Last time was the worst. My DD does not eat red meat, at lunch there is just not much offered, She did end up ordering the pasta dish and it was horrible.
We had another ADR for evening and my family refused to go back, we were able to get a ADR for Coral Reef and sooo happy we did. The best steak of our trip and even my DD found a chicken dish she really enjoyed and wonderful service to boot. We never thought about trying this place because we don't eat seafood.. Our son was thrilled to watch the fish/turtles and divers while we enjoyed our meal.
Have you thought about trying a resort resturant. We were very happy with Kona Cafe (skip the Turkey) or Wilderness Lodge, lots of fun...

Bev

We were there last October, and it was the absolute best food and service of our entire trip! I think all of these bad reviewers are just trying to catch your ADR...........LOL ;)
