to Busch or not to Busch?

Hi. What do you all think if Busch Gardens? We were there a few years ago and thought it was a good day out. We liked all the coasters. We will only be in Orlando for about 8 days and won't have a car so will need to use the shuttle if we do go.
We are going to Animal Kingdom and probably Sea World, and will go on the coasters at Islands of Adventure. Do you think it is worth taking a day out of our holiday, even if we are going to AK, SW and IofA?

Any feedback would be great!
thanks

We love Busch as it's got so much diversity but I think I'd be loathe to take a whole day out of only 8 to visit - unless it was my last visit, which it never is!
For all it's choice and change of tempo, Busch also a way of wasting your day in queues, with it's lack of fastpass equivalent and a record of always at least one major ride 'down' whenever we've been.

Honest, I love the place and usually visit twice a trip but don't see a profitable return on gambling 1/8th of your holiday this trip.

I also love Busch Gardens and in my opinion it would be worth the day out but my wife has a different opinion and does not like to waste 3 hours travelling(1.5 each way) when she could be shopping.
I also agree that the non use of fastpass on the major rides is a disadvantage but in my numerous trips have found BG to be a lot quieter than the Orlando theme parks and it also caters to all ages with the fast rollercoasters and the kids land of dragons.
Dont forget they have added R.L Stines the Lighthouse for this year. We bought silver annual passes last year and on our visit in two weeks time will vist busch at least twice.:Pinkbounc

As you would be relying on a shuttle bus I would pass on BG. You have plenty of other options to visit that won't take 4 hours travelling.

We always make sure that we visit Busch Gardens.
It's changed a lot over the years, but we still enjoy going there.
Maybe we're not typical theme-park visitors, because we both dislike IOA and prefer travelling around the State to staying in one area.

:D Another vote for BG - we're only in Orlando this October for 6 days and one of those we're off to BG for the day. We didn't visit it last year - and our holiday was just not the same:rolleyes: .

Although we love AK, there's something a little different about BG that we consider worth the journey.

A trip to Busch Gardens is worth it for Montu and Kumba alone, the two best roller coasters in Florida imho.

With Rhino Rally and the new 4D show which is a blast, it really is an amazing day out, not even taking into account the zoo-part of the park.

I think you can make it one of your 8days.

ENJOY

Julian.

I personally don't think you should visit BG, considering you only have eight days.

Although I like Busch and its attractions, I feel that the journey time wouldn't be justified when you are in orlando for only 8 days. IMO, Busch is GOOD but not GREAT.

Like Vernon said, there are plenty of other exceptional theme parks and places to visit and see, that are right on your doorstep.

I'd save it for next time :)

I love Busch and think it is worth it, I go just for the Gorillas, who I end up watching for hours:rolleyes: but I do love all the big coasters as well, even though there is always something broken at this park
