OK, so me and DH are off to DL again for a week in March. We were going in late Sept, but moved the trip up better crowd lvl, and 700 less than the airfare in sept, so this will be a very very early B-day celebration plus we will be celebrating our aniversary during this time. I seriously would like to book the pirate suite for 2-3 nights. Me and my daughte got to go in during our halloween week trip, and it would be great I think for us as it seems very much a submersive experience it is omg gorgeous. You get vip service with it, but conciergere is extra, cost per night 3000. Opinions please I think this would be a great surprise. *I need to call ASAP they said and be ready to pay right then. opinions and advice is greatly appriciated thanks everyone.

A NO!

Not now, in this crappy financial times.

Wait and then go to WDW Caribbean Beach Pirate Rooms, cheaper rooms $300.00.

Thank you. If anyone else has opinions on this please share they would be very much appriciated. I am even considering Conceigere lvl again even though they offered very little at wine and cheese hour, and sweet endings evening offered the same dessert choices everynight. Maybe it changes by the week it was nice just thought it offered more. I am kind of leaning to GCH, but the pirate suite has been on my mind.

Only you know your financial situation, and whether or not you can really afford this. Are you planning on spending the whole 3 days in the room? I can't imagine myself wanting to leave the room if I knew that I had paid almost $10000 for the privilage to sleep there. :) It does sound like a nice experience, and if I had millions socked away in a stable bank account, I might consider it.

I think you should just do what sounds right to you. If you want it, can afford it, and can live with yourself after spending it, then fork your money over and have a great trip!

Oh, and if you do, be sure to report back to us how it was, and we want lots of pics! :wizard:

If you can absolutely afford it and feel it is worth it (even if I could afford it I wouldn't feel it was worth it), then do it.

I can't imagine doing it, though!

I get grumpy if Ihave to spend more than $100 a night for a hotel room! Our entire trip to disneyland for a family of 4 was just over $2000, for a whole week! Even if I had a huge amount stored away, I am not sure I would spend it on a hotel room... just my two cents.

However...If you can afford it, and it is worth it to you, go for it.

I just wouldn't right now. They said things are going to get worse through the middle or next year...AT LEAST. So personally no, wouldn't do it even though we can afford it. But I do think it'd be fun...so perhaps down the road when I know things are more stable I would look into it myself. However the choice is yours and yours alone.

I got different treats every time at the GCH while staying concierge. Maybe stay there? It'll still be a great room but for less? Perhaps DTD concierge and you can grab some treats from the lounge and then watch the fireworks from your balcony, sip some wine? Idk lol I dont drink but people mention that often. That is probably what I would lean towards, just can't wrap my mind around spending 10 grand on a room for 3 nights! :upsidedow

If I could afford it, I feel I would have to spend every minute in the room and still wouldn't get my monies worth. That said, if I truly COULD afford it, I would stay just one night. Just for the experience and indulgence. And I would plan a lot of things to do in the room to really appreciate it. Since you asked for opinions, that's mine.:goodvibes

Good luck deciding.

WAIT! Is the $3000 per night possibly a typo??? :confused3

I can't imagine a room that's $3000 a night unless it's some SUPER elite place!
Don't know anyone who's pay $10,000 for any room for 3 nights...unless they were a celebrity or something???

However...if that is not a typo..and you can afford something like that, then GO FOR IT! :)

I would contact the hotel and ask for the retail information for everything that is in the pirate suite that makes it special to you. Then I would recreate the pirate suite in your own home. You could probably hire a designer and have them do it for less than 3 nights in the suite. You could spend every night in the pirate suite at home.

I was thinking about doing it also when I called and they said it was 3500 and that was about 6 months ago . I said I will just look at the Youtube video and have an extra 10grand in my pocket... I was a little shocked at how much disney is charging per room ... you can go to vegas and get something bigger for way less ..so in my opinion I would just wait everything is going down the tubes in our country... Good luck in your choice making

if you can afford 3 grand a night do yourself a favor and go to dubai and see the new Atlantis hotel and all the other lavish activities that just opened up there.this month..

If you have the money to do it then do it. You only live once. I wouldn't mind staying there myself.

Why spend $3000.00 a night At DL??

When the Pirate rooms are $300.00 a night at WDW???

You have changed your dates so that you can get $700 less in airfare. To me that says you are obviously money consious. $3000 per night or $3000 for the entire trip, BIG difference. I think you can have just as memorable and fun vacation staying in a regular concierge room. Just remind yourself, you are paying for the decore. The service, linens, toiletries, and park visists will be the same regarless of room decore.

It would be very nice to spend one or more nights in the pirates suite. It is beautiful. However, if one is changing their plans so as to pay less for air fare, frankly it does not make for any good sense to me, to go and pay the rather exorbitant amount of @$3,000.00 per night. Now unless one is very wealthy, and saving money on airfare is something that one enjoys being able to do, then why would anyone be interested in doing so?

Thanks all. I should have made it a bit more clear. We were not trying to pinch pennies by upping the date we were ok with sept I was also thinking yes more to spend, and I get to go again sooner as I live in hawaii also celebrate 10 years, but it was more the influx of crowds that are now going during that time, and disney guest service saying it's getting worse each year now with the cute Halloween decor. I do like a couple ideas of maybe staying 1 night in it we had thought of doing a resort day pool, relax, and so forth then doing the rest at thr GCH CL. We have not tried it as we only stayed DLH. This is my 3rd time ever going to DL. Since we are going adults only, and this marks our 10 year mark together I just wanted to pull out the stops for this one. I am VERY lucky, and count my blessings that we do not have credit card debit other than the trip, and do not owe on our car and such, so I guess disney has me whipped with the magic, so i'm trying to create that perfect disney magic memory.

Well, then do it! :thumbsup2 You don't need our permission anyway.

Have a great trip. :wizard:

Sorry- I think I'd be frugal even if I actually had money. I'm just sitting here thinking about how many cats I could spay and neuter with that money. Unbelievable.
