I was wondering what your opinions are on this......I am planning to get pregnant for #3 as soon as our trip to Disney is over because i don't want to miss out on all the good rides. If i try this month I will be due for my period the week we are at Disney which, if I did get pg, would put me at barely 4 weeks along. Can i still ride the thrill rides that early? What are your opinions? If you think about it how many of us even know we're pg that early on?? What would you do?
Thanks so much for your opinions!
Karen

That early, you'd probably be ok. I wouldn't go drinking or anything like that, but rides should be ok. Hope you get a + quickly.

My sister rode every big ride at Disney and when she got back she found out she was 6 weeks along. Her doctor said nothing she did was wrong and that that little baby was so safe. She was born in May and my sister never had any issues the whole way.

Babys who don't make it at that super early point are more due to real issues and not riding rides, it is bacuse they would have never made it anyway. I fell down a whole flight of stairs at me 3rd month and hurniated several disks, tore my hip from my spine and nothig was wrong with my son at all. Now, I was in really bad shape since I could not take anything but tylonal and could not walk BUT all that really mattered was he was not effected at all.

You should always talk it over with your DH and your doctor but I belive you will amke the right choice for you :)

ITA! Have a great time. pixiedust: (Pretend that is baby dust instead of the pixie kind)

I think you will be just fine :goodvibes
BTW, I also plan on ttc for #2 right after I get back from WDW - I don't like thrill rides but I want to be able to have a cocktail on vacation
The only thing I would be worried about is morning sickness. Is 4 wks pg to early for that? I was lucky with dd never to have ms so I am not sure.
Good luck!! I hope you get your positive! :cheer2:

OOOhhh! I hope you get your positive while you are in Disney! Now that would be the best kind of magic! Sendiing baby dust your way! pixiedust:

I say go for it! We went to WDW when I was 6 or 7 weeks pg with #1. I rode absolutely everything and had a blast! I'm sure that I'd have been much more cautious had I been farther along, but it was a great trip--too early for morning sickness or the pregnant waddle. LOL As a bonus, we got to tell my parents our happy news while eating at DTD. ;) It was an exceptionally magical vacation!

Good luck! pixiedust:

Actually, the first time we went to Disney as a family I was about 4 weeks pregnant and didn't know it. I rode all the rides that you're not supposed to while pregnant and nothing happened. She is getting ready to turn 9 the end of this month.

I just want to ditto what everyone else has said. One of my friends went to Disney and rode all the big rides when she was about 4 weeks pregnant. She had no idea she was and now her DD is almost 6 years old.

I also want to wish you lots of luck and success in getting pregnant! I would LOVE for DH to give the green light to try for #3. I keep bugging him. Maybe he'll break down soon! LOL!

When I found out I was pregnant with DS I was worried because I had gone to Silver Dollar City (in Branson) the week before and rode every roller coaster at least three times! My doctor said not to worry and that I could keep riding coasters until I was ten weeks along because the baby was safe behind my pelvic bone :confused3. I did not get on any other rides...but I'm sure you would be fine at 4 weeks. We're not planning on TTC until after our next WDW trip because I'm not missing out on the rides again! :rotfl: Is that terrible or what?

I became pg while at WDW- I didn't know for sure at the time but I certainly felt different while on vacation. We tell our son he was the best souvenir ever. pixiedust: Best wishes to you and your family.

That is soooo cute!!! And Karen don't worry... have fun! pixiedust:

Have fun. Don't forget to take multivatamin in folic acid.

I know everyone has said this before... but my mom was 8 weeks pregnant w/ my brother when my parents took me to WDW for the first time. She didn't know she was pregnant and went on Space Mountain 6 times that trip! She told me when she found out she was pregnant, she got very nervous about possible "damage". However, the Dr said not to worry. Now my "little" brother is 6'5", 21 yr-old frat boy. The only thing wrong w/ him is his attitude :lmao: (sorry couldn't resist). Of course though, that was not my mom's or Disney's fault. Best of luck to you! I hope you have a happy, healthy baby #3 :)

Like a few others, I was 4 weeks along (and didn't know it) when my family and I went to Disneyland. I rode everything, and had no problem. Now my son is almost 2 and will take his "second" Disney trip in Dec.!

Just watch for nausea as you're tummy will be more sensitive. My SIL, who can ride anything, got very sick after riding a spinny ride. That NEVER happens to her. She found out a couple of weeks later that, yes, she was indeed pregnant.

No fun getting sick at Disney!

I too think you'll be fine....have fun!!

We are going to actively start trying for number 3 after our trip in September. But if happens before that I'd be ecstatic!

Hey, I'm with everyone else! Go for it!
AND WHATEVER YOU DO,
do NOT forget to take a pregnancy test with you! Can you imagine how much one of those would cost onsite? :rotfl:
I would be itching to take one!

At 4wks along you really are only just past implantation and there is not much going on there. I wouldn't worry about it at all and your HCG levels won't even be high enough to give you nausea that early. I am going in 4 days and I will be 7wks. My OB said I would be fine - just watch the G-force rides but my RE (specialist) of course said watch the rollercoaster etc....

I plan on staying off of ToT, RnRC, Mission Space and Everest. I will probably do Splash though as it is so mild.

Thanks everyone......
There is no guarantee that i'll even conceive this month but knowing i can still have fun on the thrill rides that early is very encouraging I'm looking very forward to Everest!!. Thanks for taking the time to reply.
Wish me luck........
Karen
