I'm trying to get a plan in motion for our visit to Disney..staying at BCV with 3 grandsons (age 7, 5, 3). I'm familiar with the transportation system used at DW (bus, boat, monorail) so am only looking for suggestions on how best to get from the villas to the kingdom...the villas to Animal Kingdom....MGM, etc. It's always so frustrating to spend so much time waiting for and riding on the loop busses. Anyway, any well traveled routes would be most welcomed! Happy Spring!

We've never found it to be a problem taking the buses from BCV. If I remember correctly, the most number of stops the bus ever had was three-- Boardwalk, Dolphin and Swan. And, unlike OKW, there's only one stop at each hotel so it goes rather quickly in my opinion.

If you have a car, you can always drive to any of the parks and use your parking pass from BCV to park for free. And, of course, you can simply walk to Epcot.

Have a great time!

From BCV you can walk into EPCOT in just a few minutes but you can also ride the boat there. The boat also goes to MGM. You can walk to MGM in about 15 or 20 minutes. We found it to be quite a nice walk but not when it is very hot obviously.

However, I am sure your Grandsons will love getting the boat! It's a lot of fun, you can get on and off at The Boardwalk and Swan and Dolphin too. Being able to walk or get the boat beats the buses in my opinion!!! We have never had a problem with the bus service at The Beach Club (haven't stayed in villas but they share the bus stops) but we generally drive to Animal Kingdom and Magic Kingdom as we find it more convenient with the stroller.

Possibly a less traveled way but funner for the kids might be walking thru Epcot to the monorail, to the MK. Bit more walking for the youngest two though. I would take the bus back at nap time or end of day.

Never tried it, but some say taxi cab is the fastest/best.

Thanks everyone for the quick response........We've had some long rides on the bus while at WLV...did drive to the Animal Kingdom much quicker. Glad to hear it flows so well.......I'm always open for suggestions!:D

I will have to say that after 2 stays at VWL and one stay at BCV, the transportation to/from VWL is MUCH better than BCV. Granted you can't walk to two parks from VWL, so BCV wins there, but trying to get to/from MK and AKL from BCV is a NIGHTMARE!!! BCV shares the bus with 4 other resorts (Swan, Dolphin, YC and BWV) so frequently the bus arrives at BC practically filled and no room for other passengers. Also, since it shares space with so many resorts, the line at the parks frequently gets VERY long, and you have to usually let one bus go, and wait for another one if you're at the end of the line. Just be aware that the bus service from BCV is no better (and IMO worse) than the bus service from WL.
