We are just back from a great vacation @ VA Beach and I just had to say how beautiful a state you all have!

You should be very proud, clean, pretty and very friendly people!

I would move there in a heartbeat. I think it's as far south as I would want to relocate to.

Gald you enjoyed the wonderful state of Virginia ;-). We appreciate you bringing business to our money strapped state. and trust me you do not want to live here especially during Tourisit season.

I also love that state. Visited many many times since family live there. I always wanted to live there also and my family always said the same thing that sand21 said. I love the smell of the beach, even into Norfolk you can smell it. I love the traffic, I love the fast pace they seem to show, I love the laxydazy days you can have. I HATE the humidity however!!!!! ROFL

Another resident of Virginia Beach to thank you for visiting our wonderful city!!! Come back anytime!!

Hey Sand21...where in VB do you live? I'm in the Aragona/ Pembroke area.

I live in kempsville. nice to know there are others from va beach on the boards

I'm about 2 1/2 hours from VA Beach, but thanks for visiting our lovely state! I'm happy here!:sunny:

Glad to hear you had a great time. I love it here. I'm less than 2 hours from the beach, mountains, DC.

Damn, I have to learn to read the subject title more carefully. I thought it said something else :teeth:

Glad you liked it, Lisa! :) I was here for a visit in December, sold the house and moved here in March!! :teeth: :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc Best move of my life! It really is gorgeous here. ;) I'm a pleasant 40 minute drive from Virginia Beach. I'm there ALL the time...love it!

Sand21, How cool, I graduated from Kempsville. I was also there this weekend visiting old haunts. If I could move back I would in a heartbeat. Brought the want ads home as wishful thinking!!!

Humidity? I haven't noticed any since moving here from Florida!! :teeth: It's not hot outside either. I've been wearing my jeans most of the summer. ;)

I can see why Sandy.

Everywhere we traveled to was just plain nice! I love the nightly entertainment by the local bands. Tried to talk my DH & DD into parasailing (I've done it before) but not this year maybe next time!

I will definately return. It was better than I remembered it to be. I haven't been there for 7 yrs.

I really didn't notice the humidity either?

Too funny!!! gometros :o

I agree...there's always a lot to do. Especially on the weekends! Parasailing? Hmmm...I haven't tried that. Will have to look into it and add it. :teeth: This morning I took a drive on the highway, picked an exit to turn around, and accidentally found Water Country! :teeth: Maybe I'll be taking DS there this weekend. Last weekend we hit Williamsburg.

Sandy...to funny, we were in Williamsburg this past weekend too! We went to the Pottery and then found some great places to eat in Williamsburg!

Water Country is great! I took DS(4) there last week and had a blast!! Lots to do!

Who from Virginia is going to plan a Virginia Dis meet? We need to all get together at some place like Bush Gardens or such!!

tara

I'm for a DIS meet, Tara!! Busch Gardens...haven't been there yet, but I keep hearing great things about it.

Oh, you've got to get to Busch Gardens! It is such a beautiful park! And, Apollo's Chariot rocks!.

We're actually going to BG & Water Country the next 2 Tuesdays. I can't wait! :bounce: I haven't been to WC since the day I graduated high school (15 years ago!:faint: ) We usually have season passes to BG, but skipped them this year since we're doing WDW

I have season passes to Busch Gardens and Water Country.

LOL the humidity in Florida never bothers me b/c I amused to it here.

The REAL humidity doesn't hit lower VA until end of this month into next month.

Okay - so maybe I should try and stowaway in my dad's trunk when he comes out for his vacation so I can attend a BG meet. I LOVE BG-W!!!!!!

Count me in...we are going this sat but have 2 year passes.

BUsch Gardens would be a great place for a DISMeet. I'm just about an hour away from there. I'd have to drag Dh but i don't think he'd mind.
