To all Disney Stock Holders - Warning !!!

I received a letter from BNY Mellon Shareowners service on Behalf of the Walt Disney Company services stating that one of their archive vendors had misplaced several boxes of backup data which had my name SSN, and other info.

They are giving me a free a 24 month credit monitoring service from Consumerinfo.com (an Experian Company).

Am I the only one who received this letter?

DH works for a subsidiary of Wachovia and got a similar letter a while back - BNY had lost some Wachovia shareholder info as well. Must've been a really big box...

My deceased aunt had a few shares of stock with them and we received the same letter.

We had a similar letter from our credit card company about 18 months ago. We have kept a close eye on DHs credit, but so far it has been fine. Hope it works out for you.

We got this letter too. It's a shame how often this seems to be happening.
