My DS has just started solids so it made me think of this:lmao:

What happens when we are all, the 5 of us, waiting in line and DS 6months decides that he must dirty his diaper. Do I leave the line and forget about going on the ride to go change him? Do you leave the line and cut back in if possible? Do you wait (not really an option cause that's just gross but I had to put it on there anyway). What is the procedure??

You leave the line and take care of your child. The rest of your group either leaves with you or they continue to ride and you ride later because with kids that is what happens and we have to do what we have to do.

This happened to us last trip. We were at AK in line for KS. We had a fast pass and the lines were not moving. We heard that there was a problem with a vehicle or something so everything was backed up. I was near an area where I could get out easily, so I took DD to the kid care station while DH and DS stayed in line. They didn't stay in line much longer because it wasn't moving. We decided not to do it. We have been on the safari many times, it was OK to miss it on one trip.

From what I have read, it is perfecty okay to leave to change your child and then get back in line (if it is possible...some lines are not easily accesible). It wouldn't bother me one bit if the person in front of me left with their CHILD to use the bathroom, change a diaper...ect.. and then got back inline.

Ditto to what mommyof2princesses said!

I agree, too, as long as you're not having to physically push past a lot of people to get back in place. I would let the people right behind me know what I was doing so they wouldn't think I was just getting a snack or something. After all, they don't want to smell the poo while you continue to wait in line with a dirty baby, either!

We were in Disney in June and the lines were long and this happened all the time. People were always very polite and understanding. I never had a problem with letting someone through to catch up with their family. Of course tou try and plan bathroom breaks before getting in line but you can't always plan with little ones. Don't worry amd ahve fun!!

I would never have a problem with letting a family member catch up for those reasons..but you might not be able to catch up and just have join them for the next ride..thankfully it probably wont happen that much...its a funny one to think about though...have fun

As long as the majority of your party is still in line, I think most people are OK letting you get back to them. As you leave, you might even try to make the people in line behind you aware that you'd be back. The only time I ever got irritated by people catching up with those already in line was when the people in line seemed to be "place holders" so the majority of the party could continue to do their thing until the line had moved up.

I think it depends on the attraction, and where your family is in line. In the big 'holding cell' type attractions (Country Bears, Muppet 3D) I've left with the poopy one, changed her, and got back into the holding area. I made sure to check with the CM at the door about returning before I left.

But if you are in one of the stand-by riding queues, and you are more than half way to the ride vehicles, it would be pretty difficult to get all the way out, change the baby, and then get all the way back without stepping on some toes. Of course, most of those attractions have height restrictions, so the baby wouldn't be going on those. But Peter Pan's Flight is tricky, and so is IASW.

You leave the line and take care of your child. The rest of your group either leaves with you or they continue to ride and you ride later because with kids that is what happens and we have to do what we have to do.

This is what I did with all 4 of mine. Life is different when you have small children. If you try to rejoin your group after having left the line, some people are going to get upset.

I noticed that no one pointed out the most obvious answer...hand the poopy diaper child to DH so HE can go change the baby, and then you can ride with the other children. :rotfl:

LOL DH missed Lights! Camera! Action! or whatever it is called at MGM for this reason! :(
