<B>Yet another successful Dis meet planned and executed again. Thanks go out to Brian for organizing and arranging this meet, Brian you da man.
Since we're from Wisconsin, we never did make it to the Gino's meet the night before, but did make it to the IMAX show the next day. We've been there to the Addison IMAX before, it's a nice place. We arrived a little early and saw our first DISer, NancyIL in her car. Wake up Nancy!
Of course, a shameless family picture (without DD Abby):
We took up 3 rows of the theater this time:
Dopeygirl was walking around stealing popcorn from people under the guise of 'chatting':
We all sat back to see the IMAX experience: 70 mm film, 8 story tall screen large enough to show an entire whale full size, 6 channel proportional point sound system, all for:
The Lion King
After the show, we all retired over to Famous Dave's BBQ for some more merriment. Kimraye's DD Kelly and my DD Brittany start working their way through my daughters stack of WDW momentos and coloring books:
We had some good food, some good fun, and Dan took a few pictures:
Of course, what would a DIS meet be without someone calling another DISer on the phone? Here NancyIL calls someone to tell them how many straws she was able to horde:
And it wouldn't be a DIS meet without the obligatory batroom exit picture (Hi Brian!):
We left after dinner/lunch and a good deal of friendly talk. I personally got to meet two new DISers robinb and her DH, and mskani (and family) whom I hadn't seen before. Always good to make new friends. It was a great meet, although others may have gone on to Dave and Busters. Of course, we'll have to wait for Dan's pictures if that's the case.
