tlhbdm-going back and in double digits

Thanks for reading my honeymoon TR. I have been such a slacker in it but I have been so busy ever since Christmas(I'm still not done with our thank you notes, shhhh... don't tell anyone) I hate the phrase, but you're so young, yea so what? I'm mature for my age get over it. Oh yea be warned everyone will ask you this when you're married "How's married life?" that is the most annoying phrase ever. What do they expect me to say horrible we're getting divorced. Silly people. Thanks for reading along.

I would say its horrible and we're getting divorced just because I am sarcastic and I get sick and tired of being asked the same question ten thousand times. :rotfl2: If I had a dime for every time someone asked me if I am excited about my wedding I'd be a very rich girl at this point. (its july 19th) I already live with my fiance so really it'll be just the final step to say hey we're really together for life. I'm a little older than you so luckily nobody says oh, your so young. Hes 26 and I'm 24. I haven't heard that once. Thank God! The puppy is so cute! Last Christmas (dec 06) we got back from disney on Christmas eve and I went home to unpack and stuff and came back to his parents house (we weren't living together at this point) and he had a little 6 month miniature wiener dog waiting for me(i had been dropping my little hints for about half a yr and even made up a song about wanting a weiener dog. ) I didn't expect her after we had just spent all that money on disney not to mention he proposed at crt when we were there. I love my little Zoey! Do they ask when your having the baby? I've had about a zillion people ask me that and I just look at them and say never. (sarcastically of course.) Can I just get married first without pushing out a child as I walk down the isle?! Geeze. Seriously though we aren't having one for 2-5 yrs depending. We travel for work and we like traveling its fun. Not to mention I am not taking an infant to disney. No way in heck! Strollers and screaming and bottles and naps and all that jazz and then on top of that they won't even remember. Yea, not for me no thanks. I'd rather just go enjoy it with df. :thumbsup2 :goodvibes

A couple of times I have been sarcastic about it and the look on people's face was priceless. My DH and I lived together for about a year and half before we got married so for us too it was just sealing the deal. We had a weiner dog for about day but we got her from a puppy mill which we didn't know at the time and she was so sick that we gave her to the ARL, I was really sad to give her away. People know that we are young and want to wait for a few years, I have a lot of friends that ask me when we're going to have a baby but all of our family members want us to wait a few years. That's another reason why we got Maggie so she could be our "child" without having a baby. You should tell people we are having a baby in six months just to be sarcastic and see what they say, that's what I would do. When we have kids we are not taking them to Disney until they are old enough to have a stroller, we're thinking age 5. We have plenty family memebers who would want to watch our baby or child while we went on vacation. It's nice having family here that is willing to do that.

I know about family members willing, but I don't think I could leave a child that long with someone. As my dad would say you don't go on vacation when you have a child. Unless you are able to take the child. I would say five is a good age, but I don't think df and I would be able to stay away that long. We have already discussed it a tiny bit. Obviously we don't want to take a tiny infant, but maybe a two or three yr old. We'll see. I'm not planning on kids for quite some time. Zoey is enough for me.Thats so sad about the wiener dog being from a puppy mill. How horrible. I don't think I could of given zoey away no matter what. She is just so adorable! My best friend just has a baby so i'm just having fun spoiling her baby. So thats my baby fix.

Here are some of my favorite pictures from my wedding day. If you want to read all about it, it is in my Honeymoon TR, and the link for that is in my siggy.

This is my favorite pic of all of them. I might be a little vein because it doesn't have DH in it but hey it was my day too.

562-2.jpg

This is that same pic. I tried using photoshop not too bad considering the pic started out black and white and I changed it to color.

I look thrilled don't I?

This picture chokes me up everytime because these are my grandparents and my dad praying right before the wedding.

DH thinks this one looks like it is from a funeral.

These two were our musicians. The guy is the current youth pastor at our church and I asked him to sing at my wedding when I was like in 7th grade and guess what he did! The lady is the past youth leader at my church. Her husband took a job three hours away from where I live like 5 months before the wedding. I knew I wanted her to sing because she has the most AMAZING voice but when she moved I was really sad, but guess what she came back JUST for my wedding to sing.

Real parent dances(next set is the fake mother son dance)

168.jpg

This is fake one. His mom thought it would be appropriate to go to Perkins between the ceremony and reception because she thought there wasn't going to be enough food. So she didn't get to do the real mother-son dance and she missed our first dance, toasts, cake cutting, garter toss, and bouquet tosses, basically all of the important stuff.

149.jpg

This is the bouquet toss "winner" her dad gave me one instruction that night and that was to not let Kaitlin catch the bouquet, but she did catch it and no I didn't throw it directly to her.

153.jpg

Garter toss winner. There was only three guys that wanted to do it! Oh well there loss.

Next up...more wedding and then past Disney trips.

Your dad has a point but DH's step-mom never had babies around her. She never had her own kids and DH and his sister were older when she came into the picture and she wants grandkids really bad. She isn't going to be very happy when we move across the country in a couple years cause she won't be able to be around her grandkids that much. Ooopsy. I wish my friends had babies I could spoil but all of my friends are young and probably wouldn't be the best thing to have babies.

My best friend is younger than me. She isn't even married yet, but I don't care. Its a blessing because she wasn't even suppose to be able to have children so I couldn't be more happy for her. My dad is full of good points.:goodvibes He is a very smart man and I love him with all my heart. We almost lost him to cancer a few yrs ago so I am thankful everyday that he is here! We have friends of df's family (we'll they are our friends too) that aren't able to have children and its so sad. I feel horrible for them. They are such great people and sometimes they have the worst luck. They are trying to adopt currently. Basically all paper work and everything is done. Just waiting for a child, which I'm sure is probably the worst part of the whole process.

I am just going to add pics now, if you have any questions about any them I'll answer them.

Yea I've heard that is the worst part is the waiting game. I feel bad for everyone who can't have a baby. It makes me so sad.:sad2:

I only have a couple of pictures from the trip that DH and I got engaged. March 2006. We stayed at Pop Century:

I will add some of our photopass pics from our honeymoon because I am still working on my honeymoon TR.

"How's married life?" is nothing compared to "So when't the baby coming??"

I see this has already been talked about, but Darren and I get bombarded with this question!! I've started saying "If I had a dollar for everytime somebody asked us that, I'd be a millionaire!" :rotfl2:

My 22 year old cousin has a 2 year old boy, a little girl that just had her 1st birthday, and she's pregnant again.... And her mom (my aunt) is the worst with trying to give us the baby fever! I'm like, you have enough babies to play with, don't ya? :lmao:

Haha!!!!  Don't you have a nephew too? You would think four babies would be enough.

Great pictures!!
It is too funny that everyone commenting on this TR is somewhat newly married (or soon to be married) and we can ALL commiserate about the baby question! Someone informed my mother the other day that she (my mother) is ready to be a grandmother. Wonderful! Is that a hint that I should be ready to become a mother?? :rotfl2: I agree with the sentiments of others...let me be married for more than 5 minutes first!

I love all the pictures. I can't wait for wedding pictures. I hope our lady catches a lot of candid ones. I love candid pictures. :goodvibes My two fave pics of yours that are sticking out in my head right now ( i have horrible short term memory lol ) are the one of the flower girl and ring bearer soooo adorable. And the one of mickey and minnie together in their Christmas outfits! I would of loved to have my pic taken with them both all ready for Christmas. Instead we got the regular outfits, but thats fine...I'm just glad we got them together at all. :thumbsup2 I was wearing a mickey charm on my necklace and minnie noticed and told me she hearted it. She drew a little heart on her chest. It was so adorable and she was so excited to show mickey. I love them so much! Haha.

The Mickey and Minnie picture was taken at the Contemporary(where we were staying). We walked into the hotel after being in a park for like half of a day and there they were!

Aww I love it! I've never actually been inside the Contemporary. Besides passing through on the monorail. I always want to go in there. I am hoping next trip we do Chef Mickeys and then I can check out the Contemporary. :goodvibes
