Hey all, just wanted to pop in and let everyone know I am doing ok. Still tired as ever. Came home from work today and laid on the bed to pet the dog--hour and a half later, my DH accidently woke me up by trying to cover me with a blanket and take my shoes off for me. AWW what a sweetie. Anyways, hopefully one day I will actually catch you all actually ON the dis.

I did catch that BL is walking--what do I have to look forward to?????? Congrats.

I do have some good news to post out of all the bad news I've been posting. We weren't sure if DS was going to go with us. We left it up to him and told him that if he wanted to go, he had to tell his mom that she couldn't pick him this weekend. Kinda wanted to him to start thinking for himself, ya know. Well, she called here today and I asked if she knew about this weekend. I didn't have faith that he told her at all. But it turns out that he did. I am shocked beyond belief.

That is great news. He is old enough to tell his mom he has other plans. See---he doesn't hate you for all your punishments! He's just probably so overwhelmed to see all your imaginary/invisible friends.

He likes camping so that helps a lot. Add in that we are going to the park and it's almost too good to resist. However he came to the decision is good for me.

Did you see Harvick wants out at RCR? I'm not surprised with how all 3 cars are running this year.

I haven't looked for NASCAR news. Does he want to drive his own car or go with someone else? How about Joe Gibbs?

According to Jayski, he wants to go to Stewart-Haas. Harvick's contract is through next year but the Pennzoil/Shell sponsorship is over after this year. It says RCR would have to find new sponsorship and that is getting harder to do in this economy.

Looks like Stewart has hit a gold mine with his new team.

But some feel like it really isn't of Tony's doings since he's using HMS engines. But other teams use engines from other shops. Yates used to have great engines. I think Tony just put all the right people together.

Lots of other teams use someone else's engines like you said. Hardly any of them has the success he has had especially in their first year. Maybe behind the scenes, he's much smarter than the bull-headedness he used to display on the track.

I saw Danica Patrick was visiting Stewart-Haas too. Rumors have it that she is interested in racing NASCAR.

There's more races and probably more money in it. The ladies just don't seem as good at it??? Maybe they just haven't had good cars.

Isn't it funny that our meet is a weekend when there's no race?
I did my picks already. I tried to pick some different drivers. I also posted my pick 5 drivers. If we have someone picked for that, can we still pick him in the regular picks?

I watch some IRL racing and she is a hot head. I'd be real interested to see how she handles racing with the "boys". I doubt they would cut her any slack because she is a woman.

I know of a few female nascar racers but none of them have seemed to make a mark.

They probably think having a female will boost ratings!

Tomorrow I have several calls to make and should visit a friend who had surgery last week. Plus the dreaded cleaning. I guess I'll call it a night...
