OK between Track Smack and Count Competition that was a heck of a lot of posting to read!!!

Sis had her MRI...got a message from BIL and looks like she has a swollen spinal column and has exacerbated some previously herniated discs (Say that quick three times!!)...anyways looks like she in hospital until Sat at the earliest. My mom is heading down to London and will give me a better update later today.

Ok, from what I understand, for the races that Brer Papa has listed, we pick one driver and you can only them once. It's totally seperate from our regular picks. At the end of the 5 races, they will add up the scores from those 5 drivers and use that score to replace our worst score of the second half of the season.

I need a wireless card for my laptop. It is a very old laptop Toshiba Satellite Pro 4600 running Windows 2000. The campgrounds we are staying at this summer have free Wi-Fi and it would be nice to get access to internet.
Does anyone know much about wireless cards to buy?

What a crummy day we had here! Rain, rain, rain, and barely broke 60. Ugh.

Just heard from DSis--they landed fine, but the parking lot at JFK is jammed and they havent even been able to get out of there! So it will be at least 6 or so when they get to the hotel. DD is going nuts, she is so anxious to see her cousins!

Did you hear about the pilot flying from Brussels to Newark who DIED?!?!?! Thankfully the 2 copilots were able to bring in the plane, but what an ordeal that must have been! He was only 61.

Oh I am so bummed right now. Today I went in to talk about specifics of the job offer I received. The job sounds really great but now it is just 1 day a week and the compensation is dramatically lower than my last part time job. Uggh! I know its a small private school and they have a limited budget but it is not like I am asking for big bucks here. Just a fair wage for my talents and many years of teaching. What I am asking is MUCH lower than what I could make in a public school and I made it clear in the interview what my salary expectations were. That was no secret. I would have even settled for a little less than my last job, but not this much. And, to now change the hours makes me a little miffed.

I guess its back to sending out more resumes. So very bummed!!!

Well, I have an update about going camping. I've decided to cancel our reservations for the campsite. You see, the more I think about it, the more I realized I just am not the camping type of person. I really, really tried to to convince myself that it would be ok but I can't.

Sorry everyone especially you D&D.















Now, for the rest of the news. We are still going camping but I was able to reserve a RV Park Trailer-unit. It sleeps 2 adults and 4 children. Has a kitchenette, grill, picnic table, extra chairs outside on the deck, ac, tv w/cable, and the very most important thing.....a bathroom and shower. I may have to make DH leave work early on Saturday just so we can enjoy more time at our luxurious accommodations.

Yep, DH plays golf every Thursday evening during the summer. DD and I like it cause we can cook stuff he doesn't like. We have been overcast all day but no rain.. The temperature is 85 right now. That is lower than normal. We're normally in the 90s.

Ahh, 85 would be so great. It's been in the 60's here since we got back. And it's rained everyday this month except for 4 days.

In the winter, I do the same thing when DH is out of town. I usually make a big pot of veggie soup and eat that for the whole week. It works even better since I only have to cook once or twice while he's gone.

I am so angry with you Racer...I almost had a heart attack as I read down your post. I could not believe you were not coming to Hershey..well maybe just for the day then...and then I got to the RV part I yelled! You are soooo bad for teasing that way! Is it at the same campgrounds? You can wimp out for the 'luxuries' as long as you come.

Good evening!

Not much going on right now around here. Tomorrow is my last day of school!

The kids have tomorrow and a half day on Monday. I thought I was going to get some quiet time but found out that DS11 has an award ceremony at his school at 8:45AM on the half day. I guess I have to go sit through that.

Talk about a busy night on here last night! I read through everything but now I can't remember what I wanted to say. I have to remember the multi qoute dag nabbit!

Hugs for everyone dealing with illness, kids being a PITA, bad moods, horrible weather, etc.

D&D: Keep those resumes flowing. Did they cut back the hours or just tell you incorrectly? Maybe they'll get more kids who need those services. My school district had no openings for anything next year---I guess maternity leaves but nothing even in maintenance. No one retired or quit.

DL55--I could not play golf in the heat. I know Racer is saying that I can't play it in the cold either...but I do like to do the par 3 golf course. I usually go out with friends who have golfing husbands.


Racer---You are forgiven ...I would have had to tease too. But you did leave that big space...had me wondering there! I have to do a drive by and check out that place.

I have to get up early---5:30---so I'm going to sign off. I need to finish a questionaire from the nutritionist I see tomorrow. I also need to get clothes out for the weekend. Need to make sure the eyebrows are plucked---going to eye dr tomorrow too.

I took typing class in high school. The teacher was the meanest teacher in the entire school. But darn if I didn't learn to type.

Nothing much happening out there. There's a non bash J&K=8 thread. It spent most of it's time bashing those who posted on the other thread. I asked a question to see if it is going to really be a thread.

M&N--1st what is the name of that thread? The only ones I ever see are so mean. And did you hear that on Mondays show that Kate says "We have come to a life changing decision. One that effects every member of the family. We hope this bring us all some peace."

Good morning! Whew! Just finally caught up with all the chatting last night. Strangely enough, the racing chatter just went over my head. I hope everyone is enjoying their fantasy racing.

Its beyond rainy here! It started late last night and has gotten progressively worse. I will never get my laundry on the line anytime soon. Back to the dryer for me.

I watched the new Star Trek movie last night and I really liked it!

Yesterday was full of good news. Baby Cole arrived and my sister got news that she matched with a fellowship in Rochester next year. I ran with that and stopped by the racino. Put five dollars in and hit the bonus--walked out with $80. I got 100 free games! but boy, did that take a long time. Its going straight to my vacation fund.

Ah, I almost forgot how humbling it is to be a thread killer. I posted on the Sea World board yesterday if anyone had any suggestions on the best day to go. We'll have two days to go there and was wondering if some days are better than others, if they have special weekend shows or anything. I've gone ignored.

Congrats on the big win! Whoo hoo. I am so unlucky when I try those things. I think someone is watching me on a camera ans says hey look here comes the sucker!
