i just get very anxious on a drive.. no matter where im going.. but to disney. I already warned my cousin... my goal is to make to to Tenneessee awake. hoping for longer, but tenneessee is my goal.. once i get in a car that i know, well okay it really doesnt even have to be a long trip.. i get sleepy and tend to fall asleep.

but on a few trips my mom wanted to probably kill me, cuz every once in a while i get these giggle fits, and on a long trip to NY, i got one when she pulled over to fall asleep. and yeah..... i bet you can guess what happened... i warned my cousin of this too.. i told her i cant make promises.

I'm shocked. I thought there would be a new thread this morning.

DH has a follow-up appt this morning. If all is well, he'll return to work tomorrow for light duty (and light pay :headache:).

Good morning everyone. I have a doctor's appointment today...yay! It's about 50 here right now, supposed to get up to 70. How is everyone today?

Good Morning!!! The sun is shining, the kids are in school, the dog is sleeping and I have a hot cup of coffee. Doesn't get much better than this.

Hey Mary! Sounds like you are having the same temps as us today. How are you feeling? Are you anxious to see your feet again?

Kerrie, I think today will be the day for a new thread.

Jenn, our car rides to FL are pretty uneventful. My kids are wonderful in the van....in fact, that's one of the few times they aren't fighting. Of course, that could do with the fact that we are on our way to Disney.

Feet? I have feet?! Since when???? :rotfl2: I'm mostly sore and tired. I have a hard time sleeping at night because I'm so sore. In 6 days, I'll have a hard time sleeping at night because of a baby crying. So just make "tired" a permanent thing. I do look forward to breathing again. This kid loves squishing my lungs.

Morning...I see we were very, very busy last night. New thread is coming fast!

We're a bit impatient. We seem to get the souvenir just before we leave, 3rd time. I was a week late the day we left. DH said no more trips to Disney. :lmao:

I haven't been to the doctor, yet, so nothing official. Six kids, can you imagine?!?! We must be crazy!

Congrats...six kids  You are my hero...2 is almost killing me!!

My dream resort would have to be the Grand Floridian, at Christmastime with the carollers in the lobby and that yummy Gingy house! I think my Bf's would have to be the Contemporary. I could stay at AKL just to have all that yummy food there!

It really is beautiful with all the Victoria garland, but I don't think I'd stay there with kids.

well my decison was between AKL and Contemp. and i put the thread up to get ppl's thoughts on it.. and from what people told me... i choose the contemp. i could watch the fireworks from the balconey.. no fighting crowds to get to the buses, i would only need buses for AK and DHS, so that was a bonus..

We stayed at AKL and Poly when we went, along with visiting Contempory, GF and WL...and although the monorail is great, as far as accommodations I don't think any of them beat AKL! The pool, restaurants, and especially the staff were fantastic. We arrived after dark and my kid's were so excited the first morning when they went out on the balcony and the giraffes were walking by. They were also great free kids programs running during the day.

alright JO...I won't tell anyone! But seriously, I have heard a little TOO many souvenir stories. There MUST be something about Disney water. Or maybe its the Dole Whip. I haven't had one of those and I am still souvenir-free....

Nope not the Dole Whips...had one of those...mind you if I'd come back with a souvenier I'd have a lot of explaining to do to DH.:rotfl:

We stayed at SOG. FIL is retired Air Force. The rooms were really big. And we were able to keep a few kids in there room. :thumbsup2

The parks were great. The weather was nice. :cloud9: I think I was most excited about Hollywood Studios. We were able to get the kids into Jedi Training and get fastpasses to TSM (rode it twice). The Jedi Training was so much fun to watch. The kids were living out their dreams fighting Darth Vader. The master was hilarious!

It was such a wonderful trip. I can't wait to go again.

When we went they still pulled them out of the crowd...my DS actually said no when asked if he wanted to join in!!

Okay, I've been doing some SEVEN research. Here are some popular 7 phrases...

TKers...Seven Deadly Threads
TKers...Seventh Wonder of the Dis Boards
TKers... Lucky Number 7
TKers ...The 7 Thread Itch
TKers... Killing Threads 7 Days a week (JOCA's suggestion)

Sorry...didn't mean to omit #5. Feel free to edit or change. Just some more suggetions to complicate matters.

I like 1, 2, & 5.

Good grief...headaches already.

I'm on SoonerCare here in Oklahoma...our "fancy" name for Medicaid. Every few weeks, I get mail from them stating I still haven't chosen my doctor. Every few weeks, I call them and let them know who my doctor is. So yesterday I got the mail again. I called them a few minutes ago and spoke with a woman letting her know that I chose my doctor the moment I was approved for SoonerCare. She asked me what type of doctor he was, I said OB, she said "oh, you can see whoever you want for an OB and not worry about notifying us, I don't know why you're getting that mail." :headache: So apparently she fixed whatever it was that kept sending me this mail. Then I ask about adding the new baby to SoonerCare once she's born. She said she only works with the doctor choice stuff, so I'd have to call the help hotline. So I call them (same number, just different menu option). Speak with a guy and I ask him about adding the baby. He says I can't add the baby until she's born. I say I know that, but I'm just trying to find out what I need to do so that when she IS born, I can do it. He tells me that they don't deal with that, I have to call DHS and speak with them. What the...? I have to call a completely different health services department for something dealing with SoonerCare? *sigh* Ok...I ask if he has the phone number. He said no, I should have that. Grr. I then ask to update my address since my SoonerCare mail keeps going to my old address and just gets forwarded to me. Apparently they don't deal with that either. I have to call someone else. Exactly what DOES the SoonerCare hotline deal with if they don't deal with SoonerCare issues?! So I looked up the number for DHS online and then give them a call. No answer! No automated system, voicemail, or anything. It just rings and rings and rings...

This is an absurdly unorganized state.

Good morning ladies...just got it in on time! Yes, sometime today we should be starting a new thread. I think I have the complete list of TKers. For those of you new, once a new thread is started, I'll send out PMs to notify and if I remember (doh!) I'll post the link here.

Still no definite thread name....seems Seven deadly threads and Killin 7 days a week are in the lead...

mary....that's absolutely nuts! It seems that some agencies are trained to push you to another agency. They have no answers, they just answer the phone and tell you that they don't do that. Well, what DO you do so I know for next time? Goodness! I hope you find someone who can answer you!

That's insane...isn't the job of the hotline to answer question and help with problems...maybe someone should send him a job description!!

Finally booked Cirque de Soliel tickets...we will be seeing Mystere at Treasure Island...had wanted to see O but it wasn't playing either night we are there. The Elvis & Beatles' ones look good but they don't do discounts on kids tickets...and I'm sorry but after all the $ we spending on the trip, $500 to go to a show was a little steep, even for me!!

Hey MK...thanks for the recommendation of Lost in Austen, I absolutely LOVED it!! You'll have to go over to FB and check my new profile pic...Mr. Darcy...yum. Nothing like a little eye-candy...I think he may be even better looking than Colin.

I'm so glad you enjoyed it! I stumbled on it on tv one day, deep in episode two. But I saw it again and it was wonderful! I didn't think I'd enjoy the Keira Knightly P&P, but I did. Have you seen Reese Witherspoon in Vanity Fair? That's another good one.

Congrats on the Mystere tix...when are you heading to Vegas? And I agree....$500 is steep for a a few hours. I would like to see Love. Huge Beatles fan. Don't know if I can convince BF though...didn't enjoy Cirque when we saw it. Die hard BMG fan he is.

Hey everyone!

Ev, that's awesome to hear about the Cirque tickets! I've been wanting to see one of the shows. Maybe on one of my Disney trips I'll get around to seeing La Nouba.

I'm back from my doctor's appointment. My cervix is still closed, so the doctor called the hospital to see if there was a Sunday night opening so they could start prepping me for a Monday delivery. No such luck. So instead of delivering on Monday, I go in Monday night for prep and will have a Tuesday delivery. What was 6 more days is now back up to 7... I want a countDOWN, not count up!

The waiting is the worst! Good luck!

Glad to hear everything is ok at the Dr's. Little Elowyn (did I spell it right? too lazy to go back in the thread....) will show up when she's good and ready. Just think of it as a few more days to prep for her! Oh babies! So wonderful! Goodness, this is a fertile thread....

Im up.. Im up... finally slept the entire time.. i cant beleive it.. only got up once for the batheroom and went right back to bed,, which rarely happens, i tend not to be able to get back to bed..

I thought Kiera was just OK but love Matthew MacFadyen, but then I do have this thing for Mr. Darcy!!

We are in Vegas at the end of our trip so the 23-25th of May. It is unfortunate that the Love & Elvis tickets are still full price...but I figure any Cirque is good...I saw one years ago in Toronto but don't remember what it was called. That was before they had all the shows around the world they performed in a tent just like a regular circus. Gotta ask...what is BMG???

Oh no that's too bad...I had the same issue with DS...hours of back labour and nothing to show for it.

mk: la nouba is awesome! its the most amazing thing ive ever seen! i was in such awe of it.. both of us were. It was just a matter of luck that we could swing the tickets but it was well worth it and you want high seats.. not close up ones, trust me, your neck will be thankinng you in the morning

Ev, BMG is Blue Man Group. We've seen it twice at Universal. Essentially both shows both times, but so much fun! What else was Matthew McFayden in? I'd love to see him again! That scene where he's striding across the moor in the morning mist makes my knees weak.

jenn...we saw La Nouba last trip. We also saw BMG a few days later. La Nouba was visually stunning and the talent was amazing, but we just didn't enjoy it as much as BMG. And I found some of the characters scary (but I find everything scary). I also think it was the La Nouba fruit cup that poisoned me!

My AP is expiring next week. The AP discount was the only way we could swing the tix!

i didnt have a fruit cup so yeah.. hehe didnt see bmg.. it doesnt do anything for me, so i wouldnt waste my money on it, if it doesnt do antyhing for me.. la nouba... ohhh so good.

If you get the chance, I would recommend giving BMG a try. The tickets are often really resonable priced. Last year we got $25/pp. Its very audience interactive and its really a clever social commentary. If you're lucky, someone will come late to the performance--so funny! And the ending is just so much fun. You come out of there just on a high. But I'm biased. I like Universal and Sea World too, we always try to do "other Orlando stuff" on our trips.
