Night LITC! Sorry I didn't get to hang around here too much while you were here.

Kerrie, you are nuts doing that drive with only 2 vehicles. And I know how big the Suburbans are (still miss ours).

Thankfully, most of the time only our family was in ours. On the way there, my mil rode with us for awhile, but that's it. I kinda felt bad for my bil on the way home. He had 3 backseat drivers.

Youngest DD is turning into a backseat driver and she's only 6. She watches for the speed limit signs and checks how fast DH is going. He can't even go 5mph over the speed limit without her yelling to slow down.

The drive to FL should be fun this year.

DD2 yells for us to go faster. And she doesn't like it when we stop. Even if there is a car stopped in front of us.

DD6 use to be like that. But now that she is in school, she's a real stickler for the "rules" At least how they pertain to everyone else.

So you've told us about the drive. How were the parks? Did you stay onsite?

We stayed at SOG. FIL is retired Air Force. The rooms were really big. And we were able to keep a few kids in there room. :thumbsup2

The parks were great. The weather was nice. :cloud9: I think I was most excited about Hollywood Studios. We were able to get the kids into Jedi Training and get fastpasses to TSM (rode it twice). The Jedi Training was so much fun to watch. The kids were living out their dreams fighting Darth Vader. The master was hilarious!

It was such a wonderful trip. I can't wait to go again.

Kerrie, I though I read something about Disney changing how the pick kids for Jedi training? Something about lining up for it? The last time we were there, they just picked kids out of the audience.

Sounds like you had a great time!

It's funny, after our trip last year I had had enough of Disney but now I'm starting to want to go back. Oh NO, I'm hooked!

They line up now. There were 5 kids ahead of ours. My oldest 3 and their 2 oldest cousins were all old enough and made it in. I think there were 5 spots left after us. Before our show even started, there were kids lined up for the next one. We got the park at rope drop and headed right there, while DH went to TSM for fast passes. The fast passes were good as soon as the show was over. Perfect. Then we were able to get a second set of fast passes for later in the day.

I'm going to have to try out the way you did it. DD8 was so disappointed the last time we were there and she didn't get picked.

Pikester, aren't you hitting Universal next year? You're going to have so much fun there.

I'm not planning anything! I'm so jealous. Y'all keep talking. I have to live through all of you.

Congrats Kerrie!!!! That's so wonderful.....another baby tker!!!
And MK, you hush about the water in WDW. If DH gets wind of that idea, he may cancel our vacation.
I've had the water before but maybe this time I have to drink GALLONS of it.

This last trip, BF woke up to me sick in the bathroom. He looked so pale. He whispered, "Is it a souvenir?". Not at my best, I said "NO! Its food poisoning you big jerk!"
:lmao:

I have no more plans, either. Thank goodness for Disney forums!

MK, I love the pic of you and Marie in your signature. That was one of DD5 and DD10's favorite parts of our trip, meeting Marie. It was a bit dramatic because DS realized he lost his new lanyard at that moment. But once he and DH set off to return to the bathroom where he took it off, the girls were really able to enjoy themselves. We went back so each could take a picture with her by themselves. So sweet!

Luckily, a kind soul turned in DS's lanyard, and we were able to pick it up at guest services a few hours later. :goodvibes

Kerrie...I practically tackled Marie when I saw her. I saw her in the distance and took off running to get on line. BF didn't even recognize her. He kept going towards Norway (our brekkie ressie). It totally made my day. She was with Mary Poppins, who was wonderful!
