TKers: Six threads under and still killin' time....

Our yard is divided in half with a concrete walkway leading to the parking area that we have in the back. We could get rid of it but it's not high on the list of priorities right now.

Kansas beat our hometown team so I wasn't sad to see them lose.

Did you say you are planting a garden? Have you researched when to plant what? The senior center here has plots for them. I saw some out breaking up the dirt last week.
We had some lightning while I was watching DWTS...

Yes, the kids want to do gardens. DD14 wanted to put flowers in the back but I thought it would be better to veggies out there since it gets more sun. I'd like to plant flowers out front since it would look prettier.

I have done no research at all. I figured once I saw the plants in the stores, we'd get some, replant them and see what happens. We don't want a lot....some tomatoes and peppers to start with and see what we can do. We use those the most and wouldn't want to plant anything that would go to waste if they take.

It's still raining here. DD6 has decided that she doesn't like thunder. It might be a long spring/summer.

JO--Tell DD6 that she needs to be brave. She told me last year we were going on the BIG pirate ship this year! We need to have the onion snow before planting. I hope you don't have squirrels. They like tomatoes too!

Good morning ladies....STILL dark and rainy here, but it seems to be letting up. Last night it rained so heavily...but no lightning. I would have enjoyed the lightning. I like big storms like that.

I had DWTS on last night but wasn't really paying attention. Buzz Aldrin looks great for 80 y/o! I thought Pam did really well (I had low expectations for her). Nicole did as expected, but I was surprised how emotional she and others were. I'm going for Niecy Nash. I've always liked her and have to support the big girls out there. I know I couldn't have gotten into that sequined number!

Oh my goodness Walter is so handsome! You'll have to fight me for him too, JOCA. (hmm...maybe DD14 and I will join evil forces....)

I'm around too. Just have been trying to read up on the health care bill before the kids get home from school. The little ones both get out early because of parent teacher conferences.

The sun wants to pop out here but the pesky clouds are not co-operating.

Let me know if you find out anything good about the bill! As long as it doesn't mess up my insurance, I can live with it for now. Hopefully, in the fall we can get some politicians who can do it better. I think health care is getting out of hand but I do not believe the way it was done is the best way financially. I just feel on the whole, politicians are selfish. It's how do I (meaning them) benefit from this? Not what is best for everyone and the future everyones. I sure do not want a job like that...I know it's easy to sit here and be critical.

I don't think I'll ever understand the health care bill. Too many conflicting reports on what it's going to do, what it won't do, how and who's going to pay for it all.

Honestly, I'm trying to follow the health care bill, but what it really is to me is an idea. They've proposed these measures but no one really knows how applicable and how successful its going to be. I do applaud that they're trying to do something about it, but for me, its all about big business and the greed of insurance companies. That and also there healthcare field is heavily understaffed and overly-litigated.

I do hope its a step in the right direction and provides coverage for everyone. I just hope its real coverage and people don't have to jump through hoops just to get a physical or an aspirin.

Yep same here. There were a lot of unhappy people this weekend. Now we're watching just to root for more upsets.

It's getting darker and darker here, maybe we'll get more rain.
Our cruise is in less than three weeks. Now I'm getting excited.

Its starting to dry up a bit here. I've been giggling because my galoshes have been making obscene noises all day. Maybe I should be in second grade too. My umbrella is a ladybug with antennae. Have to make the day fun somehow.

MagiKitty The word galoshes makes me giggle. We are going to San Juan Puerto Rico and leaving for a week cruise to the Southern Caribbean. We are going to the islands of St Thomas, Dominica, Barbados, St Lucia, St Kitts and St Maartin. (Boy, lots of "Sts' ) We are going on a group cruise with fellow Cruise Critic members. (Almost like a TK meet)
