I'm going to tell BF that we've as a group decided its time to have a baby.

I'd love to be a fly on the wall when you do that. :rotfl2::rotfl2:

Pikester, Curt and I are going to crash in the living room for now. I just want to make sure that all the kids still have their own space. Well, Curtis kinda has to share with us since our dressers are in the same room with him but we've moved most of this stuff down there. It's not ideal but it will work for a couple of weeks till we figure out something better.

I think it sounds like a good plan. Gives you an excuse to be near Curtis' things. You can keep an eye on him.

Hi Everyone!

Kitty - Glad you're back and that things went well for you. I missed being on that flight too. :guilty: Sorry you had to sit by the big guy!

Happy Anniversary MR& MRS Sukie!!! Hope you had a great day.

LITC - Glad your ride home went well. STill wish I could've met you. Big hugs to little Walter!!

JO - Hope MIL is back on track soon. Praying for you on the transition.

Kerrie - Hope y'all don't get too much rain. Stay safe!!!

lilmiss - How was the dentist??

So we just came home from our little weekend excursion. Was supposed to be a camping trip but after the week we had, I told DH we've had enough "camping experience". So we found a great deal in the Wisconsin Dells at a Water Park Hotel. For $99 per night we had a 2 room suite, and all the waterpark activities the boys could want. 4 water slides, 5 different hot tubs, 2 lazy rivers, and tons of other activity pools. The boys were in heaven and it helped us take our minds off things for a while. All in all we had a great time and got a super "Kitty Deal"!!! :thumbsup2

DH and I celebrated 18 years of wedded bliss this weekend too. We can honestly say that we've just about been through it all now.

D&D- sorry I didn't get back to you sooner, its been crazy on my end. The dentist went very good!!! LOVE my new hygenist she's awesome. Still gotta go back to the dentist again though, I have 6 small cavities that have to have fillings. Not a huge deal, but he also said that he has to check between the teeth for any cavities once I have my braces removed next year. I'm not looking forward to this as I don't care for needles at ALL.

On a lighter note, I had a not so bad day today. Ended up getting a new toy.... I got a pink Nintendo DS Lite!!! Very happy and thrilled to have this.

Kitty, I love your plan! :thumbsup2:laughing:

LilMiss, congrats on the DS! I used to have one, but somehow it now belongs to one of my children. :confused3

JO, I'm impressed. I don't know how well I would do in your situation. You must be an amazing person.

Hi, Pike! And, hi to the rest of the TKers!

So far, the rain seems to be avoiding our town. It comes straight for us, dies, then reforms on the other side. :confused3 It's amazing that the rain bands from the hurricane can reach so far.

Kerrie, I'm not amazing in the least. I think my kids have just made me certifiably insane and I don't really know what I'm doing. :rotfl2:

You all stay safe out there. Update when you can so we don't worry too much.

So happy to hear that your family is staying safe Kerrie.

I still can't believe how stronge D&D is. I'm so happy that her family was able to get away for a little while and not have to deal with the clean up from the tornado.

Thank you. I hope the other Texans are doing well, also.

I, too, am impressed with how well D&D is dealing with everything. Taking a break is so important to help you refocus and tackle the job ahead. :worship:

Gosh, y'all are gonna give me a complex here. Being insane has it's good points. Really, it does and when I think of some, I'll let you know.

I am in awe of D&D and how she and her whole family is handling everything that happened to them and their town. I don't think I could have done it as well as she is.

Pssst, JO, about the insane thing, my kids did it to me, too. :rolleyes1

Good morning ladies....last week we had crazy hot temps, and now its cooled off again. My heat even kicked on last night! We're slowly creeping towards 60s today. Still have to get my sweaters out--this after I put them away last week. Ugh.

Honestly, when I think about all we've as a collective have gone through, we are some set of amazing ladies! And JO, you're not insane...you're coping. You're getting through the day and loving your family and that's all that matters.

I do have to do laundry from my trip, but I'll ignore that for now. And eat some pretzels that M&N was so kind to give to me.

So I did tell BF that I think its time we think seriously about having a baby. He chose to ignore me--for the moment. We'll see how these negotiations go! It was kinda weird to have the words actually come out of my mouth in utter seriousness.

Let's have a lovely day ladies!

I think you should just tell him you're already pregnant.

Ahh...how I miss a simple life.

Thanks for all your kudos on handling the storm. To be honest with you, you rise to the occasion. When it happens to you, you just have to deal with it. You have no other choice. (Except maybe to go crazy:crazy:) Any one of you could do it too.
And don't get me wrong. We're still having our share of bad dreams and anxiety attacks. I think we'll be messed up for a while. But hey...at least I won't be going crazy by myself right??

Afternoon! The weather is cool here. I can't believe how quickly it changed again. But it is awesome for my electric bill. ;)

MK, things sure have been wild for the tkers lately. And I do know for me personally, I could not have made it through everything lately without all of you. :grouphug:

And I am a tad bit insane :dance3: :rotfl2::rotfl2:

And let us know how the "negotiations" go.

D&D, you have hit the nail on the head with rising to the occasion.

Oh gee....I killed us. I swear whatever it is that I said, I won't say it again. :lmao:

Actually, MK, I have a question for you. Since you are our resident shopping/awesome deals/ rebate site queen, have you ever heard of swagbucks? I keep seeing posts about them on facebook but before I click on any links, I would like to know if anyone knows about them.

MIL is now suppose to move in on Monday. She and her husband have been staying with Curt's sister since she got out of the hospital. Tomorrow, they are suppose to start moving what stuff they have in. We'll do the rest on Monday.

We canceled our August Disney vacation too and are tentatively planning on October. We do have a pin code for 35% off a room only at a moderate. But I've been looking into renting a condo/townhouse offsite. I haven't stayed offsite since I was a kid. I've been looking at Windsor Hills and got some quotes. Those prices are right in line to what I would still pay for the room at POR.

So, MK (I guess I have 2 questions for ya since I know you have stayed offsite before), how bad is the actual travel to the parks if you stay offsite? It is a real pain in the you know what? We were planning on driving to the parks anyway....except maybe the Magic Kingdom.

Good Morning! Wanted to make sure that JO didn't kill us again.

JO: The last two years we stayed on site and then drove to the parks. Not the same has staying off property and then driving but I can tell you what the crowds are like around the property. We always make it to the park for rope drop or once in a while just a little bit after and we have had a great parking spot and it wasn't far to walk. The traffic was pretty low too. I suggest emailing Marie as she stayed offsite last year and the pictures of the house she rented looked amazing.

No you didn't. You saved us. This is a new day.

Good morning all.

Today is inventory. This morning at work I got all of my tasks done. I went to see my supervisor to as if she wanted me to work on something else. Befor she could say anything, I jokingly asked if I could go home and she said "YES". I have tons to do today so I can go play this weekend.

JO~ Good thoughts going out to you.

D~ Hope a little magic comes your way (Ins. money)

SCHBR'smom~ Is your little one doing somersaults too?

I hope that everything is going ok for M&N.

:wave2: MK, BKMETV, mariezp, Pikester.

Pikester~ I see you beat me.
